We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

If you ask the current WRs, the "young guns" are better than any other corps we've had.....

I think that we could. Keep in mind, as of today, we have to be back to 85 scholarships total. So depending on who comes back for Super Senior years, and space provides, we may have more pressing need. CB and ILB being a couple on defense, and TE on offense.BOONE BOUND wrote: ↑Thu Dec 09, 2021 11:28 pmWe will most likely dive into the portal and grab another WR with some experience as well. I like the guys we have coming back and if we can add to it we will be fine.

Ok. Just asking? I don’t disagree with your original thought. But all of those questions and more have to get answered as part of the solution to yours. I’m not saying that we leave Cardwell there because we can’t get anyone else, but who can you get that can come in and teach our scheme? My first thought is Acitelli, but can he teach the zone blocking scheme? I don’t know the answer to that.

Yeah, I realize it's a domino effect that has to be figured out. I just think something is off with our o-line. Last year, we had a very experienced and talented O line, yet we still struggled controlling the LOS. Same thing this year.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 9:46 amOk. Just asking? As others have said, maybe it's a size issue, or maybe defenses have figured out how to defend the zone blocking scheme. It just seems to me that our o line has been noticeably less effective for the past two seasons.

In terms of your domino effect. Last years issues were more TE related which affected the OL. This year is probably more of new pieces and old pieces in new places than anything else.appst1992 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 9:50 amYeah, I realize it's a domino effect that has to be figured out. Re: Next year’s depth chart..take a stab
I'd say, unlikely if not impossible to replace. We've had a lot of very good receivers but none with his hands paired with his determination and ice-cold blood in his veins; he NEVER looked rattled to me. From day one, I thought we were incredibly lucky to have gotten him. I'm sure there are plenty of folks down in Chapel Hill who wonder how he was not offered...never mind his speed; just watch his HS film.

From what it sounds like its not too unexpected. It still leaves 4 in the QB room is you still count Goodman.

Do you mean Goodman? Stroman is a WR.Appmountaineers19 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 11:48 amFrom what it sounds like its not too unexpected. It still leaves 4 in the QB room is you still count Stroman.
