I will be at that game on the 3rd. I will be wearing my black and gold with as much pride as always.
Even if we lost all of our games this year, I'd still support those guys on the field. They are all full-time students and full-time athletes. None of us knows what each one deals with off the field during the week - an ill parent? a huge paper? a little brother who's not making good choices?
Watch the video board the next time they introduce the players and count how many are freshmen and sophomores - 18 and 19 year olds. Now try and remember what it was like to be 18 or 19. Now try and imagine a 250 pound guy running at you intent on knocking you senseless.
Yes, I'll be in Statesboro this year. Go App!
Water Polo??? Dude, I don't believe I'd have told that..

Great post BTW, and you should know that GSU has exhibited the ability all season to play down to the level of their competition. Fortunately we've been "lucky" to come out on the winning end. This year we are struggling offensively and in the kicking game. our defense is a little better than last year but very susceptible to a fast team-which yall have. You may not like GSU or Statesboro or whatever, but I believe this will be one heckuva game and NO ONE should miss it,especially if you already have tickets. Most of us old folks will shoot the sheet, will be nice, and give you a cold beer. The students may be another story but come on down and hang out. I hate App as bad as anyone(I was there for the Holiday on Ice in '87-still haven't put that one out of my head) but we're the top 2 schools in the SoCon that don't need to be in the SoCon. So get on down here and tell'em OF sent ya. Safe travels my hillbilly goathumpers
