We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

If you haven't been contacted by the Yosef Club or App Fund I bet your contact information you provided the university is out of date. When I've participated in those events I'd estimate 75% of the phone numbers provided were inaccurate or old.
If this is the case we need to come up with a few ways to collect this info from our alumni. The first place I would start are the parking lots during home games. While the people who have the parking pass clearly are giving I would bet there are many in the lots that do not currently give. I would also reach of to the town of Boone and local businesses that sell parking for games to see if we could contact people there. I've been to several of the Charlotte Alumni Chapter season kickoff events, and not once have they asked about being in the YC. That would be the perfect place to encourage joining as would the viewing parties that are sponsored by the alumni chapters.
We should also send out information to encourage current donors to either sign up their friends, or at the least get their contact info so the YC can reach out to them. I hate to cut into potential revenue streams, but we should also consider a discount on tickets for first year YC members that give at least $100.

You could also provide a discounted price to the Miami game as part of the Season Ticket purchase and place a more premium price to the individual tickets for that and other BIG games at The Rock.

I do think there needs to be a nice discount to people who donate to the Yosef Club and get a parking spot and/or season ticket buyers. There's no difference between buying each game individually or a season ticket.
Unfortunately the difference is you pay more for season tickets because there are so many incentives. I am not complaining because I love my seats and I will continue to give and buy season tickets. It is annoying though that I have different people around me every week who just wander up there. Almost every game I have to kick people out of my seats.

FWIW, three of our home games this season (Howard, Troy, and Wyoming) were each included in two of the three mini-packages. They seemed to be the ones where demand might be lower or they were at least not considered premium match-ups (as opposed to GaSo, ULL, and Ark State). Of course they would not sell the same tickets twice, but there seemed to be no concern about demand being too great either.

Just got email regarding UNC season tickets going on sale. (I bought my dad tickets to a UNC basketball game as a Christmas present and have been getting frequent emails from UNC athletic ever since.)
The discount tickets/seats were listed at $99, mid-range at $220, and the premium seats were $300. The schedule had dates for the non-conference games, while conference game dates were listed as TBD.
As someone mentioned, it would be cool to have season tickets available for sale during the Christmas season. Perhaps they could be sold at a discounted rate prior to the release of the dates of the home games. However, it seems that we have not confirmed all of our conference opponents for next season and whether those games will be home or away. If we go to divisions once we expand with the addition of Coastal Carolina, maybe schedules can be settled earlier - allowing us to get an earlier start on season ticket sales.

That is what the Appalachian Fund does, and I get called daily on my home phone until I answer.
This should be part of the Student Yosef club and an opportunity for student club members to earn Yosef Points towards their account when they graduate.

In addition to the pricing that has already been mentioned, the best deal has not. It was implemented this year and I think it is a great idea and eases the concern of fans with young children, an inexpensive way for the "younger crowd" to get engaged with the program. That is the $99 full season ticket to sit on the hill. Same price for adults and children. A family of 3 could attend all games for $300.
For the same price as a mini-pack you can attend every game.
For all of the concern about costs, there are options out there.
Also, if we continue this option, my bet is a high % of the folks committing for a full season at $99, will eventually contribute to YOSEF and buy reserved season tickets.

I don't give to the Yosef Club based upon what I get in return.
That's cool.
So, do you think the best move to grow season ticket sales is to take a philanthropic approach?
I think that can be a part of it.

I just throw out there that you can make your pledge to Yosef and have it withdraw from checking or charge card monthly if it is an issue to make one time payment of a certain amount. It can make it much easier to move up a level if you wish. (Not for tickets but donation itself).

I've seen other clubs include season tickets with the scholarship club "dues".
You could advertise four season tickets, xyz parking pass, and Yosef Club donation for $750 a year. That makes is simpler for the consumer, one stop shopping.

clayton wrote:If you want a pair of season tickets near the 50 yard line, you have to donate at least $500 to the Yosef Club. Then, you buy your pair of tickets for $175 each. You'll also get a good parking spot.
So, it'll cost you $850.
Or.
You can buy a pair of single-game tickets for every game on the 50 yard line. $42 each. Find a free lot and take the Appalcart or pay $10ish for a spot somewhere.
$504 (or $564 if you want to pay for parking).
You can buy season tickets without a donation for $175 each and you'll sit in the 'blue' section. That'll save you about $20 on the season. Those savings go away if you miss one game.
There is no real financial incentive to buying season tickets.
This is absolutely correct. Financially it doesn't make sense. I'm a Yosef Club member and full season ticket holder solely because I want to support the program. Before I was financially able to do so, I'd get tickets to every game for $5-10 in the parking lot. I could still do that if I wanted to, and a lot of my friends still get tickets that way. I agree better financial incentives and better marketing would help. Appeal to people's love for the program.

As I wrote above, the "Saturdays package" was new this year and was not available until after the season ticket renewal deadline. Obviously they were not selling the same seats for that one; I would presume they were worse but I don't know. Traditionally, there are only 2 packages, Touchdown and Homecoming and the same seats are sold for both.

Heck, I'd be happy with a discount on an AppStateTV subscription for being a YC member.

Shameless plug, but you should come to LKN alum events. Our first event was a viewing party we had Brian Burns attend and mingle with folks. He is the Regional Associate Development Office for the Charlotte Region for the YC. I know the Charlotte chapter has a sign in sheet, we do too, and that information is provided to the Alumni Associate to update their records. Whether or not that is shared with the YC is a good question. At our events (we've had two since beginning in August), we try to talk up both the App Fund and the YC. We're also looking to have coaches come speak throughout the year.
I also discussed with Brian the often-discussed idea of an IPTAY type program for YC and he said it's being discussed on the mountain...so, there's that.

Someone posted a while back that the pussy cat club (western) has twice as many members as Yosef. Not the dollars donated but members giving. We should easily be able to get our numbers up we just need to make it easier for people to donate any amount. Not sure how to incentivize (sp) this but should be a way.

The Charlotte chapter has sign in sheets as well, but it's never been YC related. I might have to come by the LKN events especially if it's at Harvey's again as Charlie is a close friend of mine. It's good to hear that they're trying to be more creative.
