LaLa Scouting Report?
OK it is definitely fun conjecture to discuss the bowl options, and Lord knows I've made my fair share of projections, and uninformed logical cases for one bowl or another, but App has 2 games between now and selection Sunday. Does anyone have any scouting or thoughts on LaLa's strength's weaknesses? How do we match-up? Do they have a QB and receiving corps that can do damage against our sometimes shaky secondary?
“When you take that field today, you've got to lay that heart on the line, men. From the souls of your feet, with every ounce of blood you've got in your body, lay it on the line until the final whistle blows.”

Re: LaLa Scouting Report?
82nd nationally in passing ypg, 97th in passer rating, 93rd in ypa. Not exactly terrifying. They've played two QBs roughly evenly this year, though I'm not sure if that's due to injury or just trying to find something that works.
The QB who's playing now, Haack, seems to be more of a pocket passer. The other one, Jalen Nixon, is a very dangerous runner, but he hasn't played much the past few games. They do have a big and talented WR in Jamal Robinson who has especially gone off the past two games, so my guess is we'll probably try to limit the big plays with him
Of course, the first guy we need to stop is still Elijah McGuire. Keep him in check and we should be fine. If not, it might be a shootout.

We need to bring the house at them relentlessly!! What is the word on our injury situation? Will we have any of our injured OLine guys back?

Re: LaLa Scouting Report?
Chapman played last game, so I would assume he'd be OK after an extra week off. Nunn has already been announced as done for at least the regular season. I think everyone else is a go, right?bigdaddyg wrote:We need to bring the house at them relentlessly!! What is the word on our injury situation? Will we have any of our injured OLine guys back?

Re: LaLa Scouting Report?
Anyone know exactly what Nunn's injury is? If he is out for the regular season but can be back (possibly) for the bowl game it couldn't be anything too far reaching. Did he break a bone, tear something? If he returns for the bowl game how long would he have been out? I hate the upper body/lower body stuff teams put out now.

Coach said on weekly teleconference that Chapman and Cox were back to 'normal'.

Re: LaLa Scouting Report?
I am pretty excited about ULL coming to Boone. Really to date this will be one of the biggest name opponents to visit KBS. I know Miami has us in the clouds but I think ULL is a pretty big deal and look forward to seeing them on our field. Hoping for an App administered beat down to reaffirm to them that there is a new dog on the block.

I saw that. Striped Squad will be miffed.
