Ads are slowing down my connections on here according to my computer geek. Is adblock a free program that can be downloaded off the net? Are there more than one ad block programs from various companies?

Daphne, how would I do that with thousands of posts on here? I haven't seen a search function that shows searches by topics in side threads. I've read most posts on this board and recall it being mentioned off and on but none that showed whether it was a free program or not and none where adblock was a thread topic. There are free adblock programs that you can use. You need to find your "manage add-ons" link and search for AdBlock.

I ran my virus scan on full scan three times in succession last night and it has evidently wiped out the problem at least temporarily. Fingers crossed.
