Late last night, a shooting took place at Savannah State University which claimed a life. It was just confirmed the victim was Christopher "Cooley" Starks. He just turned 22.
Starks originally came to App State part of the Class of 2012 and redshirted. Starks was recruited as a WR but switched to DB in the 2012-13 offseason and looked like he could make an impact. However Starks suffered a season-ending injury in 2013 fall camp and left the program after the spring semester.
Despite never playing a down, looking at Twitter you can see how much it's affecting many of the App players who were teammates with Starks.
