I had him my personal notes but not on the board as it was late in the process and he wasn't listed on many of the sites. Since I can't edit the pages I am including his hudl package with this post. He's listed as an ATH/QB/FS but Mike and I figured he projects as a safety and he built the 24/7 profile to that effect.
NLI is in for ATH Gerald Morgan (6’ 2” 190) of Fitzgerald High School in Fitzgerald, GA. He’s officially a MOUNTAINEER!!!

just read this bio- WOW!
Based on some of last years redshirts and some of the guys we've brought in this year I don't see returner being any problem at all for several years to come. Lots of choices.
We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Re: Recruiting, 2015
Honestly not surprised we offered him. Our staff has done a good job this year of having quality backups in place for nearly every position we were after. The surprise part was for me personally that I picked up on him so late. I only added the name to my notes a couple of weeks ago and didn't even have time to research him and add him to the Main Page, even in the Considering section.Budman2154 wrote:Moose, Was this guy have a number of offers and we are the lucky ones or were you surprised we offered him? Was just curious since I dont remember seeing him mentioned before. And, Thank you for all the time and effort you have given to this board keeping us informed. Here! Here!
He's a lot like Boggs last year and Ed Davis this year in that, playing at the lower state divisions, they flew under the radar. Have a pretty good feeling he'll work out very well for us. Others loss is our gain.

Re: Recruiting, 2015
Is Mock Adams potentially the real deal? If so, how did we snatch another big time receiver away from Clempsin or the Cocks? Are we going to be scary at wideout? Is Adams going to be shirted or is he a possible to play right out of the gate?

Hope they redshirt Adams. With Letman, Jones, McGuire and Meadors it looks like we've got enough size out there.

Any talk of Victor Johnson moving to TE? Bio says he went to Shrine Bowl as a TE. He would be beast (potenially) blocking and catching passes in space.

Re: Recruiting, 2015
Doesn't look that way. By his own words on his Rivals interview at the Shrine Bowl he was down in weight due to wrestling and that's why he played TE. But he said he was recruited as an OLineman the whole way with us. Anything can change but sounds like he's working on getting his weight back up already.bigdaddyg wrote:Any talk of Victor Johnson moving to TE? Bio says he went to Shrine Bowl as a TE. If that could be the case, I wonder if our surprise signee was a backup plan for Miller if the coaches thought he might not qualifyfiremoose wrote:No info on that as of right now. Re: Recruiting, 2015
Scout reporting that Miller has a paperwork problem not to be construed to mean he won't qualify or sign. Likely to sign later.

Re: Recruiting, 2015
No, i don't think it's sketchy at all. They've been on him for a while now. He gets to stay in his home state. We recruited him as a DB (projected at safety) and jaja suthin recruited him as a wr.bigdaddyg wrote:Of all the schools to flip this kid. It's really similar to what happened for us with Noil last year (except for the staying in state thing).

Frankly, I think there is more to the story. But, it is what it is. I'm not regretting the job our coaches did with this class.AppStateNews wrote:No, i don't think it's sketchy at all. Re: Recruiting, 2015
I don't really care let him go. He will get a rude awakening when he heads up the mountain next year. That being said who in there right mind would ever go to Georgia so as a wide receiver someone didn't do there homework Lol
