I'd bet that Scott (and Rick) have a short "tickle list" of coaches they'd like to have that are in ASU's salary range for the position. I'd also bet that they've already had conversation with a few candidates.mtnjax wrote:probably won't hear anything until after the coaching convention. I think that is where they found Stepp
There are hundreds of young coaches out there who'd kill to get the job and a foot in the door of FBS football. There are also scores of young FBS coaches looking for a change or looking for a job after having been fired somewhere in the annual silly season merry-go-round. Waiting for the convention isn't necessary, but isn't a bad idea. It's less than two weeks away in Louisville. I think they'll have the position filled before the end of the month. If it's anything like the last dozen assistant coaching hires at ASU, the guy will have been on the job for several weeks before a formal announcement is made by the athletic department.
My money's on firemoose to be first with the scoop!

Rush Propst head coach of Colquit Co, GA just won another 6A State Championship says he would like to coach in college. Propst a master of the spread offense and former coach of Hoover High, Alabama where he won five 6A state championships in 7 years was featured on MTV Two-A-Days a few years ago. A great motivator and recruiter he may end of up in the Sunbelt. I would love to have him on the Apps side rather than against us.

We don't need this guy in Boone. He is 57 years old and will likely never get a job outside of HS coaching.

That article is over seven years old and many things have changed. He left Hoover during the scandal and started another dynasty in Georgia at Colquitt County, just winning a State Title there.TheMoody1 wrote:http://www.mtv.com/news/1573178/two-a-d ... ntroversy/

It would seriously surprise me if he left for a college job at this point.
