Are we going to see more of this with Sunbelt games? How many fans do we reasonably expect to see from LA, Idaho and Texas? How many GA State fans purchased tickets? We might just be capped out with App fans once we hit the mid 20K range- despite the opponent. The weather definitely plays a part. I wonder who the last home opponent was that purchased the most tickets?
It isn't a decrease in the opponent's purchases. We only give 1,000 tickets to visitors usually. Other than GS and WCU our SoCon conference foes didn't bring more the 1,000 to games.

Our fans don't buy tickets when the weather is below 60.

I expect to see a lackluster 25k like most Black Saturdays, but a rowdy bunch and the best atmosphere of the year.

NP on the score.

I don't think this has anything to do with the Sunbelt. App has NEVER relied on our opponent to bring large numbers of fans in order to fill our stadium. WCU and Georgia Southern are the only ones who consistently did travel in decent numbers. Our attendance is probably taking a hit from the past couple of seasons in which we've struggled. Specifically, I think the back to back losses to South Alabama (deflating) and Liberty (just downright embarrassing) took the wind out of a lot of sails...especially for those traveling long distances. We'll get those back as our swagger returns! People have short memories. Even during the championship runs, we relied heavily on walk up ticket sales to achieve our big attendance numbers. Let's see what happens on Saturday!

The ability to walk up and get a ticket here I think is a huge draw (at least for me it is). You can make a random weekend out of it and not bank on a scalper being near the stadium. There are few NC teams where you can just walk up and get a general admission ticket with decent seating.

doesn't surprise me that it probably will not be a sellout Sat, for not only the reason stated, but even though its only early Nov, people have started thinking about the upcoming holidays, and the money they will spend, kids got to have their toys, got to find the extra money.

Could be back-to-back home games. Those can be tough, especially on families with small children. Hopefully, the weather forecast gets some people to make the choice to buy some tickets and head up the mountain!

It will be truly embarrassing if the Rock isn't packed out tomorrow. The weather is going to be perfect, highs in the low 50s. Get up the mountain and support your team. These guys need every fan they can get. It will be their biggest game to date this season.

Let's make this a winning streak!!!!!

I don't think we should expect a sellout tomorrow, since we haven't had a sellout all year. It would be a great day for a sellout, but....... I think we are going through a growing process right now, and in the future, perhaps starting tomorrow, we can start regaining that winning spirit that will propel our attendance to exceed anything in the SBC. Right now, my family and I will be in our seats, yelling like crazy. Go App!

More like our fans don't buy tickets to see a 3-5 App team play a 3-5 team many have never heard of.

Ask Wake Forest if they've heard of them.

Nice win for them, but beating Wake doesn't exactly create a national sensation. Or even a regional one.
