first round of cuts
It looks like Armanti has made it through a first wave of cuts with the Bears. They have to make 6 more cuts before Tuesday...Hope springs eternal!
Redskins have parted ways with Kimbrough. He is still Practice Squad eligible.
Miller gets cut by the Lions, still PS eligible
DJ is still with the Panthers. He is not PS eligible.
Presley is likely headed for the IR. I'm doubtful that he will play again in the NFL.
Quick is being mentioned as a starter!!
McCray should be safe this year
Sam Martin is safe
Kilgore is the starting center for the 9ers!
No word on Peacock or Washington, but fingers crossed they make it to the round of 75.

Peacock won't make it. Washington is probably PS somewhere.Boone Goon wrote:It looks like Armanti has made it through a first wave of cuts with the Bears. They have to make 6 more cuts before Tuesday...Hope springs eternal!

Question - Lawn chair carrying case
Who knows where you can get or buy carrying case with drawstring for a sports/lawn chair? I have two ASU chairs, lost one carrying case and destroyed the other. Need two any color.

I hope the Rams can pick up a QB to throw it to Quick when he's open.Boone Goon wrote:It looks like Armanti has made it through a first wave of cuts with the Bears. They have to make 6 more cuts before Tuesday...Hope springs eternal!

2014 everything I read says Peacock has been impressive but the Lions have too many excellent receivers . He will be on the Lions PS. Tony has not looked good as a returner which is why the Colts signed him . Tony will be waived. Armanti will be cut unless he shows something in the last game as a punt returner. The Bears are loaded at WR.

Re: first round of cuts
Quick is having a great preseason, he had 4 catches last week, and a 21 yd td. St Louis message board loves him, they talk about how he is finally "getting it", and he looks like he is ready to have a breakout season, he has been playing with the first team the entire preseason, so is almost a lock to start. One thing that hurts him is Bradford tore his achellies last game and is out for the season, before that Bradford and Quick had formed a real bond, and Quick had become his favorite target, hope the next qb can do the same.

I was thinking the same thing. Edwards won't make it and I do think Tony Washington is on a practice squad somewhere. There are some teams thin at WR so it would not surprise me if someone else signed him to their practice squad or if the Colts sign him to theirs.Rekdiver wrote:2014 everything I read says Peacock has been impressive but the Lions have too many excellent receivers . I'm not sure Peacock makes the Lions practice squad though.
Washington cut got today. I'm a little surprised they did not wait to cut him until Saturday.

Re: first round of cuts
Of our players I'm thinking DeAndre Presley, Brian Quick, Sam Martin, Demetrius McCray, Daniel Kilgore, and Travaris Cadet are safe. Then DJ Smith 50/50 and Tony Washington having a shot at a practice squad.

Re: first round of cuts
DJ will make the Panthers...He had 3 solo tackles the other night....hes a quality backup LB right now.
I'm telling you that Peacock will be on the Lions PS unless he gets picked up off the waiverwire and that might happen.

Re: first round of cuts
Quick will be starting for the Rams. his numbers for the preseason that I saw are 5-88-1 on 8 targets
DJ has a chance with the Panthers because of ST and he can play all 3 LB spots

DJ Smith is not eligible. Meant to have Quick in there. If Peacock makes it I will be surprised. I just didn't think he was NFL caliber and if so he lasts one year like Miller did.Rekdiver wrote:DJ will make the Panthers...He had 3 solo tackles the other night....hes a quality backup LB right now.

Did you watch the preseason games that either Miller or Peacock played in? --- if you did, I don't understand your comments ---AppState2014 wrote:If Peacock makes it I will be surprised. Re: first round of cuts
Colts have waived Washington. Not surprised, but still disappointed. He could get picked up as a PS player by the Colts or another team.
Lions put WR TJ Jones on PUP list. That helps Peacock, but there is still a lot of talent on that team.
....still quiet in Chi-town...

Re: first round of cuts
I did. I think Miller will get picked up again if an injury happens or for camp next year but I just don't see him being more than a 2 year journeyman in the NFL. He's just so small and easily replaced. RBs are a dime a dozen.WVAPPeer wrote:Did you watch the preseason games that either Miller or Peacock played in? --- if you did, I don't understand your comments ---AppState2014 wrote:If Peacock makes it I will be surprised. Peacock had a good preseason. No doubt. Just don't see him as a long term NFL player. 1-2 year camp guy for a couple preseason games. I wish he and Tony had a better QB situation last year. Both of them were better than their stats indicated.
Look at the depth chart. If they keep 6 WRs then I could see him on the practice squad but if just 5 then I don't know if he will be the one. I hope he does though. While I don't think he will make it, unless they keep 2 WRs, I hope he does!

Re: first round of cuts
2014....Peacock is playing himself into a 53 man squad somewhere. His routes have been crisp, no drops, good over the middle and gets space with speed. The Lions who are loaded at WR really like him and would like to keep him on a PS if someone gets hurt.
