We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

I don't really find it that surprising since we are around the 5th ish largest university in the state. It just means we accept more people than the Elons/Dukes/Davidsons of the state. Same story for the other top population universities.

People prefer to stay close to home so the hone turf regions are pretty well controlled.

Interesting map. Thanks for posting. It seems to show the most popular university for each county, which should not be confused with what country provides the most students. Wake, Mecklenburg, Watauga, Forsyth, Guilford and Catawba counties provide the most students to Appalachian.

I saw this on Twitter and thought I would share. I'm not sure exactly how the numbers break down but it appears to be some sort of UNC system graphic. I tried URL on the bottom left and it led to nothing. When I get on a computer I'll try to dig up the source.

Try out the link below, go to the "Enrollment" section and click on "Detailed Dashboard View". Gives a complete breakdown of each school and the system as a whole.

Can't help but wonder why UNC-W is not among those listed. Their enrollment is sky rocketing in some ways. . From serving on a scholarship committee or two, UNC-W comes up quite a bit.

Would that classify as a "smart comment?" Just curious.

I don't think the chart is surprising. I hail from Randolph County, so seeing it red is not surprising--just disappointing.
