Yosef Club Tour

Unread post by asutrnr81 » Thu Apr 10, 2014 6:20 pm

Hey guys,

I did not get to post last night after the Charlotte Tour Stop.

I will say that in my 5 or so years of going to these this was the best attended of them all! The venue was great and the news good.

The video they put together was very good and they had already filmed a few pieces that got plugged in with Fox.

DJ as always was fantastic.

Satt was very good and on the side he and the other FB staff seemed enthused about the effort and growth of the team...I am telling you I always liked Stepp and Foster but those guys are contagious.
I happened to mention how good it was to have the same staff together again for next year to Satt and he commented that 5 of them had other offers and had stayed. I think that speaks very well for ASU! They are not going to hang on to a ship they do not think can sail!

I also talked with Fox. I thought I liked him before but now I know it! He was genuine, humble and most of all enthusiastic. "We are going to build a program on the court, in the classroom, and in the community!"

I was a little surprised to not see more of the out of season (if there is such) "Olympic" sports and Darcy or some of her assistants. They had been there in the past. I really enjoy talking with them. There was plenty of university, alumni, YOSEF, and the like representation.

Charlie looked like he was hAPPy. He did not speak which I thought was appropriate so as not to take anything away from Scott or Fox.

Both Scott and Fox talked about the SunBelt move and the support that was needed to make Appalachian what it can be!

Part of the video about the football season obviously was "THE BLOCKED KICK" I still get cold chills watching that 7 years later!

Overall it was a great event and I think well received by the attendees!
Go APPS!

You sir are a well respected poster in my opinion so I have no reason to doubt what you have reported or what the coaches reported to you. If this is true, that makes me pretty excited about this staff and what we may be able to accomplish with them next season. ITS GREAT TO BE A MOUNTAINEEER!

that's a great point about SS assistants saying no to other schools, like you said it means they feel good about the program and where its heading, but it also says they feel good about their personal lives, living in Boone.
