I enjoyed those early 2000's teams, and he seemed like a genuinely good person.

An all around great guy. Congrats to him.

2 funny stories. I can’t remember how or why but he got a sampling of my grandmothers’s apple butter one time, and used to request it regularly

Also, I had his wife as a professor one semester. I got in a bad accident coming up the mountain one Sunday evening. Jacked my arm up pretty bad. She spent the next few weeks taking care of it, checking on it each class. Took the time to care for it and redress the bandages. I’ll never forget that.

Wonderful people.

Congrats, Coach!

Nice guy. Good for him. I pushed for his hire when Buzzy left and he did ok , just couldn’t get it done in the clutch.

I always liked Houston. When he was the head coach at NGU and in his late 20s, he looked like a sophomore in high school. He was always a happy guy looking at the brighter side of things. I hope he has a great and long retirement.
