Re: Charlotte Hornets fans
Hornets currently .5 games out of 6th. Pistons are locked into their #1 seed. Should Atlanta beat the Knicks tonight, Celtics will be locked into #2. If Hornets win tomorrow against Celtics, 76ers lose to Spurs tonight and Raptors lose to Heat tomorrow, we’ll be in 6th place. A very possible scenario.

Come on Melo. No need for that. No need for a Grayson Allen move

League is looking at the melo trip. Bam is a big old female dog for staying out the rest of the game. What a joke. Melo should have got a tech and the game moves on. Instead they will probably suspend him for 1 game because the last thing they want is Charlotte beating the Knicks or Celtics in a first round match up.

I was an original Hornet fan back on day 1 in I believe 1988. Lost interest during the Bobcat era. They are fun to watch and last night was exciting.

Re: Charlotte Hornets fans
Pretty sure best we can do is 8th seed, so it'd be the Pistons in the first round. Maybe they'll suspend him for the play in game against the 76ers/Magic winner. Both of them are garbage so Hornets could probably beat them with Coby at starting PG.appdaze wrote: ↑Wed Apr 15, 2026 9:59 amLeague is looking at the melo trip. I went to a Panthers game at Clemson and watched with amusement every time the Colts punting team took the field and had to delay the snap every time for Jim Harbaugh to take his slow walk off the field.

Hornets' Ball fined $60K total for pair of play-in incidents
Ball also was assessed a flagrant foul 2 after the league reviewed the incident Wednesday. He was not called for a foul during Tuesday's game.

Re: Charlotte Hornets fans
Seems appropriate. Not too harsh but also sends a message. Bam was going to hit the floor either way, Melo made it a little worse.

Re: Charlotte Hornets fans
My first ever NFL/Panthers game was in Clemson. Played the 49ers. We bought tickets (probably on Ticket Tron). We were so high up on the visitor side you needed oxygen. On top of that an extreme cold front came through and it was probably 20 degrees that day then the sun went down behind us. Needless to say we didn’t see the 4th quarter.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Wed Apr 15, 2026 12:03 pmHad to travel to Clemson for a panthers game back in the day..

If we win next game, he better check himself against the Pistons. Don’t want another brawl with them.

Re: Charlotte Hornets fans
Same on venue and same on seating. We were in the nose bleed section. The only side benefit was a good view of the lake in between plays. First two games were Jets and Saints. First two wins for the franchise. Told my wife that the Panthers should give us life time seating rights given we gave them good vibes.Bigdaddyg1 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 16, 2026 8:21 amMy first ever NFL/Panthers game was in Clemson. Re: Charlotte Hornets fans
With the 14th and 18th pick tonight, most publications have us getting Morez Johnson. His stock has been rising and some have suggested trading 14 and 18 to move up to make sure we get him. It would also be a roster cap move as they'd only be adding 1 player vs 2 players and they're already at 18 if we bring back Coby White. Also, we have 3 first round picks next year.

Re: Charlotte Hornets fans
If I am giving up picks, I would rather give up the picks for a proven NBA vet..... or given we have 3 next year, pick the two players this year in the draft..... Give them a year to develop.. then wait to next year to give up 2 of next year picks in a trade for a proven vet..and use the 3rd first round pick next year to select another young player.
Not sure how that would all work with salary cap. If possible, that is the course I would take.

Re: Charlotte Hornets fans
I used to have strong opinions about the NBA (and NFL) draft. Now, between the fact that I've barely if ever seen many of the players play, and also realizing that I am just not good at guessing which college players will be good pros (beyond the few very obvious franchise-type guys), I just sit back and hope whoever the Hornets get turns out to be good. All I know is it does seem like their biggest need is size, and that I hope they re-sign Coby White.
