With modern technology you could send out a vote before the game with songs from different genres and different times 80,90,00, today. Let the students choose 1/3rd and the season ticket holders choose 1/3 and the football team choose 1/3 of the songs used.

You do understand this is a group that can't figure out parking, right?

Breaking it up means every year we have a new song or new 3 songs. Let figure out one great song and let it be the song for years... Becomes a tradition...

If we wanted a Luke Combs song...the only Luke Combs song I can think of that is really rocking is "ain't no love in Oklahoma"... However, he would have to re-write the lyrics..
If we did that, no one would know the words. I am envisioning crickets

I am suggesting 1/3 each for 1 game. Yes I agree the opening needs to be the same and become tradition. I still think the students should be the one creating any new traditions. I like when the App State chant starts....I hate when it is planned. No one needs to be told when to yell App and State. Our fans know when it is needed and appropiate. AND BY ALL MEANS, move the alma mater to 15 minutes before the game or better yet after the game. The alma mater is such a mood killer.

The dismissing of our traditions is something a few influential people are trying to correct. BTW , something very cool and perhaps overdue , my opinion, coming soon.

I actually think Mountain Music with a couple of tweaks could be great. People know the song and can sing a clap along with it. I may be a little ambitious but maybe we could get Luke Comps to do a cover and rearrange some lyrics. Instead of “float on down the river to our Cajun hideaway” it could be “climb on up the hilltop to our App. State hideaway. And if it didn’t create copy right issues, at the very least we could use AI to change the lyrics. Or maybe get a great local bluegrass band to do a cover.

Not so much of a hideaway these days, mores the pity.

Maybe not in Boone but there are still plenty of hideaways up in them there hills

The students would probably want some rapper guy that is horrible based on my college kid and her friends.

To be fair, I went there from 05-09. From like 99-2010 was like peak diversity and popularity for rap. That said, I was still pumped to hear some AC/DC. Hell I would love if the did a mix intro that featured some AC/DC, zeppelin, etc. and throughout the game mixed in some early 2000s rock as well.

However, I would take Tech away if that is all we can get. Would like it to be. 3 to 4 game commitment. With the way college football is going, not sure we are going to get home/away with power schools. Heck NC state or USC may not ever show up in Boone. IMHO

The high school kids these days seem to be getting into better music than the generation before them. Many of them are listening to grunge/alternative/indie rock from the 90's. And they all like AC/DC. Let's get back in Back in Black.

It's simple really... intro video, welcome to the rock, immediately hit the guitar intro to Back in Black. Do whatever before... I don't mind Yosef playing his fake banjo. Play Go Hard in the Paint after the coin toss, whatever! I'd also take the big fake helmet to run out of again! Lets Go!!

They may cancel if they break even for an away game against a good SEC, other ACC as nonconference, BIG or Big 12 game.
