Honestly, I would take 4-5 in the last 9.

I’m expecting another slightly above .500 regular season and a conference tourney resulting in either one win or one game exit.

Some positives: Both our bigs had double doubles and Luke had 5 blocks. Banks had 6 points and 8 rebounds which was improvement from last game. We shot 78% from the line. Held ULM to 22% shooting. Held their leading scorer to 7 points. 43 points was the fewest points allowed in a conference game under Kerns.

Most of those were home games.
And against the bottom 5 teams who are combined 31-72...

We needed to be 6-3 minimum the last 9 after losing to Elon and whoever else it was.

Non-conference games don’t matter. We’re 6-4 and tied for 2nd, but as long as we can’t win more than 2 in a row in the final stretch, probably doesn’t matter how many we win or what seed we finish. This was our first win streak of conference.

We’ll take those W’s all day long! Way to go boys. It definitely looked like our legs were tired out there in parts of the game. Playing back-to-back conference games will do that. This game we had the bigs advantage and took advantage of it. Much like football, games are won a variety of different ways. In college you take the wins anyway you can.

I agree with AppGrad78. I’d tell the team “outside of fast break chances (and we don’t get many of those) nobody shoots the damn ball until a post man touches it.”

But we did get two, as we did against Bobby Lamb (what a great day that was) who did not. 😅

I wasn't clear. Was supposed to be saying I would take 4-5 in the last 9 games on our schedule. I'm not sure we can manage that. We've definitely had missed opportunities and some untimely off shooting nights. But it appears once again Kerns will not have a losing season. A streak that is pretty impressive.

Based on what I've seen so far this season, this App squad strikes me as one that plays up/down based on the strength of the opponent.
Given the ugliness of the offense, fans don't need this. As if we didn't have enough to drive us crazy.

Troy play GaSo tomorrow and Arky St plays GaSt, so no matter who wins our positioning will improve
