I like our tradition of holding Coastal under 50.

We’ve got to get DJ and the other dude to be slightly more App leaning. When the other team puts you in a headlock and wrestles you to the floor, it’s acceptable to acknowledge that it’s not allowed.
Recurring theme for John Reister. In the first half a Coastal player used his forearm but got the block call because we didn’t beat him to the spot. In the second half, Michael Marcus did the same thing but Reister went on and on about it being an offensive foul.

Poor half , decent half. 1-0. I’ll take it. Interesting that it’s rivals tipping off across the Sunbelt.

Well, I posted some critical thoughts about Dustin Kerns on this board after the loss to UNC-A, and then they go on a 4 game win streak. So, I guess... #FireDustinKerns???

Good for Dodd to step up and take a leadership role along with Jennings. That’s starting to open things up for Banks and get him going. Bigs are improving and are going to be difficult for our Sun Belt opponents. We seem to have a deep bench as Njock, Tot, Moodie, and Brim are getting meaningful minutes. And Clarke, what a great game from him. This team was unwatchable at the beginning of the season, but it’s been fun watching them grow and learn to play with each other. I’m sure we’ll have some stinkers along the way, but I’m becoming more optimistic with this mini run they’re on.

By mid January, we shall see what we have. Will have played odu twice and JMU (preseason No. 1 SBC) at home.
Great to see continued improvement. I typically hate those types of games, however Lynchburg was actually a positive. Our 3 point shooters saw shots go in against a live opponent.

Yep, we had lost 3 in a row before that game and have won 3 in a row since.

They were valid. The team had a really bad run between Elon, Mercer and UNCA. Everyone needed a kick in the pants.

Georgia State got dogwalked in Statesboro Thursday and now comes to Boone with a coach on the hot seat. I expect a tough one Saturday as we're not the type of team to jump out big.

Maybe with a little confidence we can be that team that puts away a team that’s struggling. We muddled along last night and let Coastal hang around until Beadle got chirpy with Jennings and our bench. That seemed to light a spark and we went on a run.

We’ve got to get our operations crew to equalize their levels and turn the gain down. Holy cow. When they get excited their mics get absolutely crushed.

We can shoot. A little bit. Sometimes.
Still, 64% from the line needs to be 8-10% higher. But our shooting was better.
