A couple minutes left in Sun Belt championship game. I honestly don't feel as bad about our loss now. Troy, best in the west sitting with -26 yards rushing.
You should watch again 😂. We looked like high school team
I couldn't think of an amount that would get me to watch it. Turned it off at halftime 1st time.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

In somewhat, sort of related news. LSU announced tonight that Blake Baker has decided to stay at LSU. Baker took the LSU defense from a 100+ ranking in Defense to a top twenty defense in one season. He turned down offers of head coach at Memphis and Tulane (his alma mater). Both jobs are still open.

BTW Go VA.

EDIT and correction - Found out Billy Napier was on Tulane's list and was their second choice. He was going to be offered if Blake Baker didn't work out. Apparently, he didn't want to wait around and see and took JMU. Or he didn;t know and just wanted a job.

Napier will try to complete a similar process as DLo (ark and cocks)... He will more than likely try to get U of F kids that will want more playing time.

What Chesney takes will be interesting situation. Most of players on JMU are East Coast kids. Will they want to go cross country to LAX.? Time will tell

JMU doesn’t have the same level of talent to take this time around.

A Duke win and a CFP bid for the Pukes doesn't help the Sun Belt nearly as much as it hurts the ACC.

JMU lucks into the playoffs.

I hope they lose by 100.

JMU can't lose by enough to satisfy me.

How the hell did anyone in the Sun Belt make the playoff before us?
Now I’m just happy with 7-8 wins.

JMU came in and kicked us in the balls and stole our girlfriends.

Then stole our lunch

If anyone got kicked in the figs here, it was the ACC.

The only thing that concerns be at all about this Napier hire is what Napier said about JMU. He went on about how clear their focus and plans are to be a great football program. I do not feel that we have that any longer at App State from an administrative level. We seem to be living in the past, like it was still 10 years ago when facilities and practice field mattered. They don't anymore. JMU has a smaller indoor practice field then the one we just tore down. We just had to have a full-size indoor field, WHY? The guys with the smaller one just kicked our ass and are most likely going to the playoff and we haven't sniffed a bowl in 3 of the past 4 years. Where is our leadership on an administrative level? We are looking to go into even further dept with the East Side luxury seats/suites, despite stadium itself being woefully outdated with crumbling concrete. Where is our leadership on and administrative level? What are our plans other than building bigger facilities and going into more dept? The Napier hire doesn't scare me at all, the fact that JMU seems to have their shit together from an administrative level does.

Administrative support, and competence , at Appalachian has never been stronger. Neither has the competition. Knowing what I know , both are obvious.

Then perhaps it is just a matter of sharing that vision so the rest of us know what we are striving for. From the outside, and I am an outsider, it looks like we are floundering with no real plans. Again, why go into massive debt for facilities that won’t help win a single game when we seemingly can’t field the team we want because of money? To the outside it looks like we are still doing what schools did 10 years ago, competing in an arms race (facilities) to impress recruits when all they really want now is money. I watch a ton of college football and listen to lots of talk radio about it and I constantly hear other coaches and ADs continually harp on fund raising for NIL (pay to play) but I’ve yet to hear a word from our administration about it. Perhaps it’s only going on with already established givers, but we all know that won’t be enough. I’m glad to hear your take that we have the vision and I believe you when you say it you’ve earned the trust over years of posting, but I just wish our administration would share it so the rest of us don’t feel like we aren’t doing what is necessary to compete.

Recruiting just got a little bit easier for the former QB that started Miracle on the Mountain.

It will be interesting to see if Dollie can generate any offense. Dollie's D appears to be pretty good...will be able to see it it holds up against Ducks O.

Napier just figured out how to coach in the CFP. Get a coaching gig at a team that just got in and take over the coaching job just in time.

Tongue and cheek here fyi
