Who would hire him as OC with the results this year?
The reality is he's ours for a minimum of two years unless he's wildly successful next year. Still pulling for him and the Mountaineers.

We were 4-2 and looking like a lock for bowl qualification. Then Shawn Collins and Thomas Davis — arguably our two best defensive players — each made selfish decisions and got kicked off the team. At about the same time, Jayden Ramsey, Trent Ramsey and Izayah Cummings — three of our most promising offensive players — went out with injuries, two of them season-ending. Injuries happen to every team, but if you were looking for improvement over the course of the season, then you haven’t been paying attention.

Those things are true but there are 11 guys on each side of the line not two or three. You can show improvement even without winning the games. I have not really seen any.AppGrad78 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 18, 2025 4:36 pmWe were 4-2 and looking like a lock for bowl qualification. This was a risk noted by many headed into the season. We had no depth on this roster.AppGrad78 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 18, 2025 4:36 pmWe were 4-2 and looking like a lock for bowl qualification. Re: FB at No. 24 JMU, 3:30 p.m., ESPN+
Agreed. My point is that people who were defending Clark in year 4-5 but calling for Loggains now are making no sense. As long as we make a bowl game next year I won't call for a change to be made. We will see if Loggains returns though because there are some folks who want him as an OC at the P4 level and he might take it. I am told he did not realize what a task the job would be. We were more of a mess among the support staff than he thought as well.bcoach wrote: ↑Mon Nov 17, 2025 10:08 pmI would only add that the team he inherited came to play. The one DLO inherited was one that was bought with a low budget. I am not making a point on whether he should have been replaced only that there was a difference.AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 17, 2025 9:45 pmIt was not a failure but it was getting worse and worse. Remember that Clark also inherited a team that was ranked the year before. Loggains inherited a team that failed to go to a bowl game in 2 of last 3 years and a support staff and coaching staff that was really bad in their roles. My point is that we just need to give it another year or so. If we are 3-9 next year then I will join in calling for his job but we have to see how the team looks.Seattleapp wrote: ↑Mon Nov 17, 2025 3:10 pmClark also won bowl games, beat A&M and was able to get gameday here as a result. He also bled black and gold. His tenure ended on a downward trajectory but he wasn’t an absolute failure. Plus I thought the whole reason we brought DLO and his vaunted nfl staff was to show us how to run a program and finally get the players some real coaches. This season is worse than anything Clark coached and folks are having a hard time seeing any improvement at all and DLO’s seeming indifference to the product he’s out on the field is rightfully troubling folks.AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 17, 2025 2:58 pmWhat I find funny is that we had people on here defending Clark after 5 years saying we should not fire him yet but we got people wanting Loggains out after 10 games. I am disappointed at the results because I was thinking we had a shot at 6-7 wins but injuries and other things have happened but we were left in very bad shape.
There are a lot of people complaining who would not be saying what they are if we had a Mountaineer as head coach. That is the simple truth. We have people who want to give a Mountaineer a decade but don't even want to give an outsider a full year. People need to calm down and give our coaches some time.

People have to remember this stuff. Clark did not enforce any type of accountability. I'm not saying Loggains is going to turn it all around but simply saying that he inherited a total mess, which Clark did not. We have seen some improvements. We have some folks here and on 247 who never wanted Loggains, don't want him to succeed because their initial thought is that he would not, and they were never going to like the guy who replaced an App legend. We have to give it some time. If we are 4-8 in year 3 then I will agree and call for his job.AppGrad78 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 18, 2025 4:36 pmWe were 4-2 and looking like a lock for bowl qualification. It's a message border of couch potatoes..you think people really care if someone is keeping receipts. I may disagree with a position on this coach or that coach. It is an opinion at the time. Announcing of taking names on a message board is so 2nd grade. If Loggains is still here and turns it around, one just makes a simple post...Great job coach...AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 18, 2025 6:14 pmPeople have to remember this stuff. Point is, other than Satt to Drink you typically get a dip from where you were before. I also concur that Drink enjoyed the stocked cupboard from Satt and even if he stayed he would have had a dip in year 2. SC took that hit. However, one must concur that we were on a downward trajectory at end of 2024 and I suggest that our program was much worse off than our record suggested.
In the same vein, I STRONGLY say we could be 7-3 right now (with just a few bounces of the ball differently), and from a record look much better, BUT our team would not be ANY better than our current 4-6 record. So the record does NOT tell the whole story.

Forgive me for my inability to post the link. I just saw a 3:39 video of Coach Gibbs of NC A&T making a somewhat emotional statement regarding the struggles of his team. THIS is more the type of response I would like to hear from Loggains as opposed to the same old crap. If you want to see the video it's on YouTube and is 3:39 in length, from his speech this week. Maybe someone with know how can post the link.

Re: FB at No. 24 JMU, 3:30 p.m., ESPN+
So you are saying that you are willing to go 3 years of 4-8 football BEFORE you think we should replace a coach? I sure hope our administration isn't willing to do that. As far as receipts go, I hope that I have to eat crow because that will mean that App is winning again. I just don't see it happening, but rest assure that if it does turn around, I will happily eat crow, you won't have to call me out at all. I will say that if our administration allows a coach to continue to put up 4-8 seasons for 3 years, I can't imagine what damage that would do to the fanbase and brand.AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 18, 2025 6:14 pmPeople have to remember this stuff.
I'm writing down the usernames of those who are arguing with me and liking the posts of those who are as well. I am going to hold them accountable next year or in 2027 if it looks like they need to eat crow. I might join them but will need to see ample evidence. We have to give Loggains a fair chance.
