A coup for Virginia Tech. Expectations are lower than Penn State and if he's still motivated, Franklin could have the Hokies humming in no time.
Being 2.5 hours from App State, I'm sure Franklin will be looking at the Dowell's commit lists (along with JMU, UVA, Liberty, ODU, etc) and be aggressive.

Re: James Franklin to VT
Tech has given up on thinking they can win following the Beamer way. Like us to a degree, they believed in recruiting guys they could develop into playmakers. They have made an investment in spending significantly more dollars on athletics to the tune of an additional 200+ million.

No disrespect, but if he's looking at the commits to App, ODU, Liberty, etc. he's going to lose a lot more than he did at Penn State.T-Dog wrote: ↑Mon Nov 17, 2025 8:57 pmA coup for Virginia Tech. It makes for good depth though, even if they are not starters.MrCraig wrote: ↑Tue Nov 18, 2025 7:27 amNo disrespect, but if he's looking at the commits to App, ODU, Liberty, etc. he's going to lose a lot more than he did at Penn State.T-Dog wrote: ↑Mon Nov 17, 2025 8:57 pmA coup for Virginia Tech.
