App State was the hot new G5 team consistently getting ranked during the season, winning conference championships, and undefeated in bowls. Now, JMU is on their way to the playoffs while we become one of the worst teams in FBS. Amazing fumble by the entire program. We had all the momentum in the world and wasted every bit of it.

But, we have so much nfl experience. The way this team has gotten worse instead of better makes me think the nfl guys must have been mostly in charge of just keeping the bathrooms stocked witn soap and paper towels.

Gillin made a bad hire. Downhill from there. And we have no money.Ncmtn wrote: ↑Sat Nov 15, 2025 4:37 pmApp State was the hot new G5 team consistently getting ranked during the season, winning conference championships, and undefeated in bowls. It’ll take another year to rid the FCS-NAIA talent.

Pretty sure that doesn't qualify. Still watching for moments of improvement. Better than sitting here complaining the whole time.

Don't remember that I have to go watch 2 more games in person. At least I like Boone and the area.

3 drops and no one is open. We can’t run. Defense just sitting back. What is he supposed to do if no one is open?

The problem is in this new era of CFB any decent player we have will leave in the portal. You can’t build a team around good players over several years. If you’re bad you lose all your good players every single offseason. I don’t see how they climb out of this pit.311neers wrote: ↑Sat Nov 15, 2025 4:39 pmGillin made a bad hire. Downhill from there. Re: FB at No. 24 JMU, 3:30 p.m., ESPN+
JMU brought in 64 last year and 50 this year, so rosters can be flipped rather quickly nowadays. The question is whether we hired the right coach, time will tell but it is not a good start at all to his tenure. The announcers made an interesting point earlier in the game, JMU primary brings in FCS all stars from the portal and we tend to bring in FBS guys (that haven't played). I think it is pretty clear which system works better.

That probably won't be targeting.
Defenseless receiver maybe, but not targeting.

28 total yards of offense with 7:32 left in the 2nd. This is pitiful.
