Because we are 3-2 and not 5-0.
Also, it's Homecoming, so it's a bit of a different crowd. More wine and cheese'rs.

Re: Coastal - 3:30pm
Yes historically more tailgating than football watching. A lot are gone around halftime. We'll see if that changes.
I look forward to this one since we are using our camper and staying Saturday and Sunday night up there (since kids are out that Monday). Will be late going up though and can't stay up there Friday night due to kids soccer game Saturday morning.

Memo needs to go out to all restaurants and bars to vet organizers of large events before making reservations.

Re: Coastal - 3:30pm
I understand that for this game. I was really asking for any game. Unless the game is in the middle of the week, we never play any other time but 3:30 or 2:30 in late
November. I would like to see a night game against a quality opponent.

Assume later in the year they do not want a late game unless it is a huge opponent that could pull the crowd no matter how cold it was at night.AppScott89 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 07, 2025 7:00 amI understand that for this game. That event in question was organized through the assistance of our own alumni association.NattyBumppo'sRevenge wrote: ↑Mon Oct 06, 2025 1:58 pmMemo needs to go out to all restaurants and bars to vet organizers of large events before making reservations.

Well, I'll be coming up the Thursday morning before, hopefully that will be early enough.

Just avoid the Woolly Worm Festival in Banner Elk...

Please, just an honest question. Why do you prefer night games?AppScott89 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 06, 2025 1:33 pmCan someone explain why we can't have a 6:00 or 7:30 game on Saturday?

I guess they’ll need to do a deep dive into the vetting process then.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 07, 2025 8:22 amThat event in question was organized through the assistance of our own alumni association.NattyBumppo'sRevenge wrote: ↑Mon Oct 06, 2025 1:58 pmMemo needs to go out to all restaurants and bars to vet organizers of large events before making reservations.

Re: Coastal - 3:30pm
I would just like to shake things up a little. Especially, September games could be at night. Also, someone mention having the LED lighting. What good does that do if we only play during the day.bcoach wrote: ↑Tue Oct 07, 2025 10:47 amPlease, just an honest question. The LED lighting system costs about 500k. That’s a good chunk of change to only use maybe one night game a year.AppScott89 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 07, 2025 1:20 pmI would just like to shake things up a little. Re: Coastal - 3:30pm
Two, if we play a home weeknight game. I wouldn’t mind one Saturday night game a year, or maybe every other year. On the other hand, I despise noon kicks.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 07, 2025 1:44 pmThe LED lighting system costs about 500k.
