Absolutely gutted…

Coach, you were in an incredible man. Can’t even imagine what his wife and kids are going through. Many, many prayers for the whole family. Absolutely devastating.

So very sad to hear of Coach's passing. Prayers for family. Never had anything but extremely positive interactions with him. Hope App honors the man in some way. Like others said, glad that he had relationship with Christ and is at peace.

Very sad news indeed. Prayers for his family. I will always remember how good natured he was, he left a positive impact in what did.

I know we said we aren’t retiring anymore numbers, but retiring 61 while honoring and paying our respects, seems appropriate for the next home game.

Very sad and will be praying for his widow and 2 children. Only 50 years old what a tragedy.

My thoughts and I am sure others have better ideas as many knew Coach Clark much better than I. Iwould like to see something done for Oregon St. game. Celebrate his life.
61 sticker on helmets throughout the year...all versions.
An OL player that demonstrates exceptional achievement in practice, classroom or community should be allowed to wear 61 for the game each week and be a captain...whether they get playing time or not. Not sure if someone is wearing 61. Hopefully they understand.
In future seasons...do not assign the number... continue the tradition so future generations never forget.

The man and his family gave their all for App. St. I would like to see App do the same.

Wow. I don't often feel shock but this is truly a shock....got the text from my friend...1st thing this morning. So young; 1 yr older than me. Thought from the recent messages he was improving. Just very sad news....just, sad. Feel for his family. I'm sure App will honor him next home game, as they should.

If you are going to the game in Boise, a few of us are gathering to pour one out for the ole ball coach. PM me if interested and I’ll get in touch with the details.

This is heartbreaking to hear. My prayers have been with him and his family since originally hearing the initial situation. As some have said I believe he is in a better place even though this will leave a hole in the hearts of MANY people ge touched throughout his life. I try to believe that all things happen for a reason even though it is still me times hard to understand.
