Disagree. The Huff even said that game had been circled. It was a targeted game so if you don't want to call it their "super bowl" it's just bickering over semantics. Teams still target App and pull out their best effort because they see an opportunity against a name program.

I believe some coaches simply try to be nice after a game when they say things like circled a game and other general comments about the team they just beat. It’s all opinion and what not but the whole “their Super Bowl” seems a bit overblown to me. I don’t know who else So Miss plays but they most certainly have quite a few teams “circled” and as much as it pains me to say for now we aren’t feared.

No doubt that post game comments are loaded with "coach speak" but teams enjoy beating a dominant program that is "down". We all know the status of App, but feel free to continue beating the drum if you think it helps.

I agree with that part about beating a dominant program when they are down. The coach speak thing gets old at times. Hope we bounce back and get back to the top.

100% agree. I think we have the pieces, but there is definitely a lot of improvement needed. I think most people expected that before the season but many (myself included) got a little ambitious after our performance against a bad Charlotte team. I didn't think Charlotte looked terrible against us, but clearly we've seen since then that they are just bad.

At the beginning of the year Charlotte, Southern Miss and App all looked similar. New coaches and tons of roster turnover. The big difference between us and Charlotte at this point is that they simply don't have the athletes. I think we have better athletes than Southern Miss as well, but they have the advantage of having a large group of their "new" athletes having played together at Marshall under the same coach they have now. App beat App in the last game, but most of the issues are fixable / coachable. Hopefully we get it done and we see better execution at Boise.

The wheels came off the wagon at So Miss. However, I think we can beat Boise with Swann at QB along with a turnover free effort for a change, I'd imagine Boise will be around a TD favorite when the lines are posted.
