Re: 2025 Football Schedule updates
As previously noted, I have major issues with the direction of college athletics, going well beyond unregulated pay-for-play and unlimited transfers (mostly falling under the broad umbrella of TV networks owning and operating the sports).
Nonetheless, I'm glad to see App will once again have plenty of fan support and a great home field atmosphere.

If parking requests are being made that would indicate some older (or least higher level donors) have exited.
There is still solid demand for season tickets. Selling the experience is still in vogue.

Re: 2025 Football Schedule updates
There is turnover every year. It would be interesting to know how the percentage of non renewals match up to previous years.

Re: 2025 Football Schedule updates
Here's what we don't know. Are the number of Season tickets sold for 2024 the same as for 2025? They could have capped the Season tickets at a different number this year. (It could be more, it could be less).t4pizza wrote: ↑Tue Jun 03, 2025 10:00 amNot surprised at all. There is great demand for our product despite having a subpar season last year, NIL, transfer portal, etc. I know we hear a lot of grumbling about people not donating and giving up tickets, but that stuff like that always happens when there is substantial change. Most times, there are eager fans waiting to take their place. Seems to be the case with football tickets at least.
I just attended a "sold out" Coke 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway where there were visible empty patches of grandstands. And this is as they continue to eliminate seats by removing every other row of seats and replacing it with a drink rail.

Re: 2025 Football Schedule updates
I have not heard of App eliminating seats in KBS. I have not also heard information to indicate that the number of season tickets available. Not sure why we would do that given we have a wait-list.WASU 93 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 03, 2025 9:44 pmHere's what we don't know. Are the number of Season tickets sold for 2024 the same as for 2025? With that said, Selling a certain number season tickets versus the actual number of fannies in the stands on GameDay are two different ideas. I have no clue who sits to the left of me in NEZ.. They may have been to one or two games year 1 of NEZ.. they were in their seats for maybe a quarter of the game. Since then, empty seats or someone who got access to the tickets. It is like a surprise guest each week.

Re: 2025 Football Schedule updates
I am not saying that they removed any seats at the Rock.
I am simply saying that no one announces numbers anymore in sell outs. We may have sold more season tickets this year than last year. But, without the actual numbers, we don't know.
Surge pricing has changed how events are marketed now. Sometimes demand is real, sometimes it is created/perceived. Personally, I'd love to see the actual numbers, annual renewal percentages, annual upgrade percentages, etc.

I know that Avery Hall has seats up there and he does sell them when he is calling the game for +.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Wed Jun 04, 2025 6:12 amI have not heard of App eliminating seats in KBS. Re: 2025 Football Schedule updates
This article shows the importance for the g4/5/6 need to get serious about creating the new business plan going forward on the one CFP spot. MWC/AAC and hopefully the Sunbelt need to start scheduling alliances that create games late in the season for the spot. The tv contract needs to be negotiated as a group once the spot is secured for a long term contract.

Re: 2025 Football Schedule updates
The real problem is that spot is not going to be there long term. As much as we don't want to see it happen they are going to break away. There is just way too much money that they will be able to keep for themselves.spacemonkey wrote: ↑Fri Sep 19, 2025 9:54 amThis article shows the importance for the g4/5/6 need to get serious about creating the new business plan going forward on the one CFP spot. This won't last! The fans of these schools will get tired of this!!
Especially when the likes of NCSU can't make a bowl game b/c they don't have their puffy schedule to fill out 6 wins.

Sans Campbell, I wouldn't call that puffy considering we played UNCC and Lindenwood (whoever that is)

And kudos to NCSU to buidling a good schedule...but the early success of NCSU won't hold for the remainder of the seaon. I wouldn't be shocked if they don't win another game outside of Campbell and UNC.

No way do they lose to Virginia Tech. Lindenwood would probably beat them and most certainly NC State will.kornegaylw wrote: ↑Fri Sep 19, 2025 1:14 pmIts not puffy this year*asumba95 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 19, 2025 12:22 pmWolfpack (3-0) remaining schedule:kornegaylw wrote: ↑Fri Sep 19, 2025 11:38 amThis won't last! Re: 2025 Football Schedule updates
I'll take that bet all day...VT hung with SC for most of that game and came out hot against Vandy. VT is a team that gave up on the coach not an untalented one.AppDub wrote: ↑Fri Sep 19, 2025 1:46 pmNo way do they lose to Virginia Tech. Re: 2025 Football Schedule updates
Who knows where Tech goes from here but their 0-3 record includes a game with SC in which they could have won that and a half in which they dominated Vandy. But, the last game and a half, they looked pretty bad. They gave up something like 60 points in a row without scoring.AppDub wrote: ↑Fri Sep 19, 2025 1:46 pmNo way do they lose to Virginia Tech.
