Re: Week 4 games
Watching UNCC-Rice game and I'm going to say what probably everyone on the board already knows, Charlotte sucks. The new coach should help long term but bless their hearts they are not good and I can't see them getting better anytime soon. Soooo happy we beat them in the opener.

Re: Week 4 games
Yes that team does suck. Glad we beat them because since UNCC started playing D1 football they have always been a lesser team. As I was sitting there at kick off in Charlotte this year i had no idea what we had or how the game would go. I'll admit it was a relief. No thoughtful person watching them play tonight could claim, at least at this point in their season, they dont suck.CVAPP wrote: ↑Thu Sep 18, 2025 7:54 pmSo happy we beat a team that sucks? Re: Week 4 games
Makes me wonder why some schools keep trying to play football at a higher level. Some never get over the hump and keep pumping huge money into the effort. In my opinion college football, especially at the FBS level simply has too many teams (similar to most professional leagues). It simply isn’t sustainable from a talent pool perspective.

I hope App continues to be the best at whatever opportunity/level we have. We need to be the best of what ever level we can get to. Spend what we have....hopefully not debt spending.

Re: Week 4 games
There are only too many teams at any level if your team is included at that level. Leave your team out and you are an advocate for expanding the number of teams at that level.Bigdaddyg1 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 19, 2025 6:29 amMakes me wonder why some schools keep trying to play football at a higher level. Appalachian did not move to the FBS to be relegated to a rebranded I-AA, FCS, or non-autonomous conference.
I realize we are in a non-autonomous conference at present, but we still have hopes that one day the conference we are in will be an autonomous conference.
