We need to develop a second RB - Dubinion is doing great but has put in a ton of work in 3 games between running and being thrown the ball. Honestly it feels like it has been too much too early. He needs this week off for sure. Hopefully Swann recovers this week as well from his injury.

I don't understand some of the negative talk, things are looking up. I sat close enough to the bench Saturday to see and hear a lot.
Our coaches were doing a great job of going over things, breaking down missed assignments and detailing roles. They praised good play and corrected mistakes. The kids were listening and receptive. The sideline is run tight, organized and a lot like a pro team, good and quick analysis after every series. I expected to find a lot to criticize but I didn't. I liked what I saw and was impressed. Wins and losses are the ultimate report card.

We seem to move the ball up and down the field pretty well, we just crap the bed in the red zone and make a lot of boneheaded mistakes and stupid penalties. I think we have the talent to compete well in the Sun Belt and I am hopeful that it will smooth out. Based on what I saw, I would say a process/system style coaching staff has arrived and hopeful and thinking it will pay dividends over time.

In the meantime, If you are so inclined, please offer some prayers up for Shawn Clark and his family. It's going to be a long road back.

Tiger, we have enough talent to be a bowl team, but I'm not convinced we have the talent to compete with the top 3-4 SBC teams, but perhaps we're saying the same thing.

I'm concerned about our depth at oline, secondary, and RB as well.

I do agree the coaching and game planning that is occurring is a step up. We have two weeks to get healthy and get better.

Oregon State is looking like an easier game than many thought preseason. Beat Oregon St., CCU, GA St. and then get one more (Marshall) and we're a bowl team. That is a step in the right direction.

Depth is a concern everywhere. So is experience and playing time together. We are a few injuries away from big trouble. I think you have most of the right areas highlighted too, I am particularly worried about RB and O Line.
Long term, I am not as worried as I was but we need to turn this around ASAP.

I think everyone should have known we were in for a pretty significant rebuild this season, and expectations should have mirrored that (and it did for most people). The UNCC game maybe gave some a bit more hope than it should have, because it’s plainly obvious now that the niners are absolute garbage and made us look better than we really are.

There’s lots to work on, but anyone who is ready to call for the coaches heads at this point should probably close their browser and go outside for a couple hours.

In other years, I would have hoped for a bye later in the year, like mid October.
However, we now have 3 games that players can be evaluated, coaches can rethink strategy and hopefully get more healthy.
If Swann is not able to go, hopefully 17 is ready to go .
Although he had first game playing issues given true freshman, there were some things I did like about the true freshman when he had time. He just needs time to adjust to college level action. I hope 1 and 2 are healthy so QB3 can redshirt. If he does start in a future game this year, hope he gets first team reps during practice before the game.
