A little about the Boise team, they have a strong team returning and are expecting another CFP run. OL is probably the strength of the team, but they also have the preseason conference OPOTY at QB. Jeanty was a generational talent, but the RB room is is deep and talented. Boise has had an All Conference RBs for 25 years and should again. Boise currently has 5 RBs in the NFL, so it's a position that is always a strength. WR is the concern. They have one solid returner and then a bunch of small contributors. Guys will need to step up, as they didn't bring in anything in the transfer portal. TE is all conference and should be one of the better ones in the country.

Defense was the weaker side of the ball, but was decent. They lost a DE to the draft, but the starting DL looks strong. The depth will be younger guys, so that could be an issue. LBs look solid, but did lose an All conference player to the portal. Like DL, depth is mostly unproven. Most of the defensive backfield returns, but it was the weakest unit on the team. Fans aren't a high on the DB coach, so this is kind of a "put-up-or-shut-up" year for him.

Offensively, you'll see a very balanced attack, that'll lean slightly more on the run. Defensively, it's a heavy blitz team. They led the country in sacks last year and was top 5 in TFL. They do tend to give up big plays because of that.

Tell me about your team? It looks like you lost a lot, including your coach. What are you guys expecting?
Thanks for stopping by. We really don’t know much about our team at all as there has been a dearth of information out of the mountain about what’s going on.

We lost a lot from a disappointing 2024 season (1st losing season in a decade and only 3rd in thirty) fired our coach and had a mass exodus of players.

We may have a good team, I think we have the talent to make some noise, but depends on how it comes together and how our 1st year head coach does.

Hard to objectively pick App after our 2024 vs Boise, but luckily for me I’m a fan and I killed objectivity about 20 years ago.

"First trip to the Blue can be tough for teams."

This is not our first trip to play Boise St. Let's hope our second visit is better than the first.
Yeah, I mentioned the '94 game (I was at that game). I had one post that wasn't approved (I'm not really sure why). It may have been that one. But I assume none of the players or coaches are still with the team. I also assume none of the players were alive the last time they played on the Blue. I feel like that's a safe assumption, no?

Boise fired their coach a year and a half ago for only the 2nd time in their history. After a national search, they ended up promoting from within. It's pretty rare that a HC gets fired and the rest of the staff is retained. It was pretty controversial, and was seen as a short term move to keep a mass exodus from happening at the expense of a long term vision. They ended winning the league that year and then followed up with a 3 seed in the CFP. But there are still some that aren't sold on the hire. Another CFP run and that should go away.

Speaking of Boise tickets, are those going to be mailed to us, pick at will call, or print/email through the Paciolan portal? Anyone know?
Boise uses Ticketmaster so that’s likely how they will come. Very similar to the Charlotte tickets through CSF.
Yes, this is the case. A couple of things. They have metal detectors to get in, so it's reeeeeally slow getting in, so try to get in early. Also, pull your tickets up early. There will be another 20-30k that are just there to tailgate and not go in, so cell service gets really bogged. You can get stuck at the front and not be able to pull up your tickets. You can't screen shot it or it won't work.

The visitor section also has the best food options. The spicy gyro is great, as are the burritos/tacos. Also, brisket Mac and cheese is good, as well.
Thanks for the information. Arriving late Thursday from Seattle. Hitting a few breweries and reservations at St. Lawrence Gridiron for gameday brunch.
There are a bunch of breweries downtown. I'm more of a whiskey guy, so I wouldn't be the one to steer you in the right direction. You can work your way to the stadium with breweries. Hit the ones downtown and then finish with Boise Brewing and then Mother Earth. At that point, you're basically across the river from the stadium.

That's scary.

I've tried for weeks to download my CLT tickets to my wallet, no luck. They load into my wallet and gives me a message of "authorizing tickets", then, in about 30 minutes, a notice saying "pass disabled", contact administrator. I called CSF, emailed App ticket office (they responded with suggestions from CSF), called CSF again; no luck. My last call to CSF, their rep said, "Yeah, we've been having problems with Apple I-Phones and Cloud password conflicts. Just log onto our website at the gate and you'll probably be alright." So, I conclude we'll probably get in.

(Yes, I'm using the latest software. Yes, I've tried it on multiple phones. Yes, I have restarted my phone. Yes, I've deleted and reloaded the CSF app. Yes, I've contacted Ticketmaster ("not our problem since they were purchased through a third party").

Speaking of Boise tickets, are those going to be mailed to us, pick at will call, or print/email through the Paciolan portal? Anyone know?
Boise uses Ticketmaster so that’s likely how they will come. Very similar to the Charlotte tickets through CSF.

I think they mean use the Ticketmaster app. Do you the "Ticketmaster app" on your phone???
Tried that, too. Since I bought them through App (3rd party), no tickets on their app. It is what it is.
