We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

We were picked to win it all last season I believe. So yes, in the words of the immortal Conway Twitty , “it’s only make believe”.

I was absolutely on the Fire Ted Roof bandwagon after that Charlotta game. I felt he was tinkering unnecessarily with a defense that was working. He adjusted big time and saved Drink's bacon in some later games and I'm glad we had him.

Re: Preseason Projections
Given the nature of college football at the moment, its hard to make any definitive judgement about a team's performance, especially at the G6 level. It's always interesting to see how others view our program but I certainly wouldn't base my expectations on what a magazine/outlet predicts three months before the season starts. Frankly, some times low outside expectations can be a blessing.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Thu Jun 12, 2025 8:22 amThese preseason rankings mean absolutely zero to me. We have a new coach and many new players. It's like a box of chocolates...you never know what you are gonna get.
I am excited about the new coaching staff. Will it take time for everyone to learn new coach expectations, systems, tweaks? You betcha.
Maybe we come out hot and surprise everyone. My hope is to see substantial improvement from beginning of the year to end of the year. What the record will be? No clue.
I am optimistic and definitely for the future. Time will tell if and when it shows up on the field.

Re: Preseason Projections
Given that he's never been a head coach, its not an unfair assessment at this point in time. He obviously will have an opportunity to change that perspective.

Sucks to be Ga St. As little as Athlon thinks of us they rate them lower.hapapp wrote: ↑Thu Jun 12, 2025 5:20 amAthlon's predictions for the Belt: https://athlonsports.com/college-footba ... redictions

He beats you with his legs. He is an average passer at best. He is a homeless man’s Armanti Edwards.

Re: Preseason Projections
Well according to you and others the problem was Clark and Sloan. Both are gone now so the problem is fixed now. Right?

It's very complicated of course, if only you knew all the variables that go into this you'd have a better appreciation of the situation.

I’m quite certain that I know just as much, if not more than you regarding the situation. I tried explaining it to you and others and was blasted with retorts of being too close to the situation. So how can I be too close and not understand the situation?

Certain aspects of the program, including defensive talent, may not be rectifiable in one off season. It was left in dire straits with no clear vision or future.

Re: Preseason Projections
Last season, the pundits had App as a strong contender for the SBC crown. Then the wheels fell off.
But those same pundits see a rocky 2026 season ahead for DLO and the kids. So, maybe App gets some reverse juju this year and runs the table?

I’m pretending to be you in the prior post.
Most know you believe you know more than everyone else, it’s entertaining for sure!

Nah, they just look at last year standing and make a couple small moves justifying those moves with coaching and personnel changes.

Re: Preseason Projections
Maybe Dowell Loggains was being held back by all of those head coaches, now he has the chance to do what he wants the way he wants to do it. Besides, every college football team in North Carolina gets a pass this year except the one in Chapel Hill.
6 September 2025 when CLT plays UNC-Ch, Appalachian should see where they really stand in the college football universe in 2025.

Re: Preseason Projections
A ranking in a preseason article has zero impact on DLo and what he wants to do and how he wants to do it. Like most coaches, DLo probably does not even know this article exists. If he does, it is do to one or the other coaches having some fun with him in a joking manner about the article...
