On the schedule for the next six years is UNCC, how important is it to win this game over the next six years?

Re: 2025 Schedule
Pros and cons to an early bye week, but I bet we get an early bye for conference scheduling purposes.
We should be limited to two mid-week game due to below average performance this year.
I sort of hope the weaker SBC teams are in the back half of the schedule as we likely get better as the season goes and that will give us a better chance at getting bowl eligible.
We get Marshall, GS, CCU, and western team at home. Makes for a solid home slate.
I would like two home games each month.

I'm pretty sure one of our two west opponents is Arkansas State. Don't know if home or away.

Re: 2025 Schedule
We really need to beat Charlotte and Lindenwood and would love to split Boise/Oregon State but I know with where we are there is a good chance we lose both. Hard to predict until we see how all the rosters look.AppWyo wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2024 9:16 pmWhich nonconference game is most important to win in 2025?HurricaneYosef wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2024 8:04 pmSchedule at the moment

Re: 2025 Schedule
We'll have to play a Sun Belt game on either Sept. 13 or 20, or both.
JMU is the only Sun Belt East team with an open date on either Sept. 13 or 20, and there's is Sept. 13.
JMU had away games before and after Sept. 13, so App at JMU on Sept. 13 would fit perfectly in their schedule.
App State going to JMU, then being off, then going to Boise State would be as ideal as possible.
FWIW, in the West, South Alabama is off on Sept. 20, but I doubt we play them. Southern Miss and ULM are both off Sept. 13. No one else in the Sun Belt has Sept. 20 off.

Yeah I’m thinking we get Arky and Texas St (assuming they’re still in SBC) next year
I’m hoping Arky at home, since they’ve never had a real Saturday game in boone during our time in the conference (2015 Thursday night, 2020 Covid year)

Re: 2025 Schedule
I think they pair us with one of our west teams in September.
I liked this year where most of East is later in schedule..and liked JMU and stink as last two games.

That was Clark's problem for 5 years -- no gaps in the big non conf games. When will DG learn.

It was "a problem" for Clark....it wasn't his problem. Big difference.DenverOfTheEast wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2024 7:12 amThat was Clark's problem for 5 years -- no gaps in the big non conf games. When will DG learn.

Re: 2025 Schedule
I think that a matchup with those two teams is likely. It could also be Troy instead of Texas St since we played both in 2022. If they use the H/H method, Arkansas St would come to KBS and App would travel to Troy.HurricaneYosef wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2024 11:21 pmYeah I’m thinking we get Arky and Texas St (assuming they’re still in SBC) next year

Just curious, what makes you believe they may not be in the SBC going forward? Where might they end up?HurricaneYosef wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2024 11:21 pmYeah I’m thinking we get Arky and Texas St (assuming they’re still in SBC) next year

Re: 2025 Schedule
the revived PAC (OSU, WSU, Boise, USU, CSU, SDSU, Fresno) are looking for an 8 to be a real league. They have to negotiate the media deal. Texas St and them have had talks but no invite or acceptance yet.Bootsy wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2024 7:51 amJust curious, what makes you believe they may not be in the SBC going forward? Re: 2025 Schedule
I'm with you, get us some home games each month, preferably October- just has that football fall weather feel. Tougher SBC teams early on so when we win 5 in a row at the end, people forget our early season losses.Saint3333 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2024 9:19 pmPros and cons to an early bye week, but I bet we get an early bye for conference scheduling purposes.

We need to be sitting 5-1 or 4-2 after the Beavers.

Re: 2025 Schedule
Arkansas St and @ Southern Miss are our cross division matchups this year.
Arky has games Sept 13/20, Southern Miss is off the 13th. I wouldnt be surprised to see us @ Southern Miss on like a Thursday night the week of the 13th.
