Logic checks out. Never mind the fact that USC has been average, at best, until this year. One year wonder coordinator. What could go wrong?
Con was waaaaay down this year and he still couldn’t get them in the playoffs. Couple that with the complete choke job against North Dakota state and his coaching job this year didn’t look that great. Had to beat 1-9 furman at home to make the playoffs and lost. That’s not the signs of some savant coach. But you know better than anyone
We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Honest question. Before today, how many people could name more than one OC of an SEC school? If you woke today and were told we were getting one, most would be excited. Let’s give it a chance.

Re: Dowell Loggains
Also, not to nitpick here, but something that really bothers me is that whoever designed this didn't even edit the USC stadium out of Loggains' glasses. You can still see the burgundy/red endzone and everything. I've worked in marketing for nearly a decade now and these sorts of things, the lack of an attention to detail when blasting out major news to the entirety of NCAA FBS football, drives me crazy.
This should have been caught and corrected before it ever went live.

Isn’t South Carolina one of the best teams in the country? Their coach highly respected? And he handed the keys to half the squad to our guy ? He may not be Rockne, but maybe give him a chance.

Re: Dowell Loggains
Why is this hire such a shock to so many? Was it the best we could do? Well, yes probably so, because in 5 years we have gone from being a G5 power to a G5 that loses more than they win. This year we downgraded from average to below average. Guys with big names and stellar resumes also have the luxury of waiting for a better gig than APP is right now. This guy has a lot of work to do. So, lets get on board, support the man and hope he turns out to be a great coach for us.

Trolling, but unfortunately not far off of some of the other posts.teller wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2024 6:21 pmMy oh my how our beloved program has fallen. I encourage all players to jump ship and apply to Boise State or research their model. In 5 minutes of reading up on Loggains, it was very obviously apparent he is not the guy to turn this ship around. Let me be the first to call for DG’s firing!!!!!!!!!
This has to be one of the worst hirings in App St history. and that’s all sports!

App isn't a G5 that loses more than we win. Our record under Clark was still a winning one, even if it wasn't consistent. We're still the same App that beat Texas A&M and UNC on the road. We're still the same App that held our own with Penn State and Tennessee. We're still the same App that hosted College Gameday and shocked JMU when they were on cloud 9.
We are still a premier brand in G5 and FBS football. We might not get every big name we want, but I don't think we're frequently being snuffed the way you are suggesting.

Coaches and even players don’t view App the same way that we do as alumni and fans. Most, not all coaches view the job as an ends to a means. How much can I make and how fast can I move on. We all love Boone and would call it o home if we could. Coaches don’t view it that way. It’s a job to get paid. I’ve been to games at both Clemson and South Carolina and to me there’s no comparison in the lunacy between programs.
The Gamecocks are crazy. Ever go out to the outlets at Myrtle Beach and see that entire family in Cock gear? I tuned into their radio show the night we beat them and it was an absolute meltdown. Give the man a chance.

I’m 100% ok with that if they win championships, treat our home with respect, and leave it better than they came in.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2024 8:54 pmCoaches and even players don’t view App the same way that we do as alumni and fans. If Loggains does the above and is out in 2-3 years, that’s a win in my book.
