They are in the middle of stadium renovation. It might effect attendance and/or optics.
They had a 45,000 seat stadium. They took down the upper deck and old press box to replace it with a new club seat/suite/pressbox expansion. The lower horseshoe is still intact and should handle their normal attendance.

What hurts them is LSU home games. If the Tigers play in Memorial Stadium, attendance suffers. LSU hosts Ole Miss at 7:30 Saturday night.

It’s sad to see how programs have leap fogged us.
Do you think LaLa has leap frogged us? They were 6-7 in 2022 and 2023.

We would consider 6 win season a good improvement from today so yes.

Call me crazy, but I don't think stadium construction, LSU hosting Ole Miss, or a potential lack of Cajun fans is going to impact what happens in Lafayette this Saturday.

There is a difference in saying that they are going to have a better season than us and saying that their program has leap frogged us. They beat a 1-3 Wake Forest team by 3. (Yes, we'd love to have that win). They haven't beat a team this year that has an FBS win and their defense couldn't stop Tulane on 3rd down/gave up 38 points in the second and third quarters.

I'm not saying that I expect a win based on our performance this season, but Louisiana is very similar to our team.

Just hope they dont put a RB/WR at QB. If they watched Marshall tape, it would be smart of them to do that.

So I assume you jumped on App +10.5 if we are similar.

We beat ULL 8 straight times and have now lost to them 3 straight.

Our record vs. our peer conference members under Clark is probably the most disturbing metric during his tenure.

Teams App never lost to prior to Clark and his record vs. those:
ODU 1-1
Texas St. 1-1
CCU 1-3
ULL 0-3

GA St. is the only one that remains.

They actually tore down the entire west side of their stadium. The lower bowl will have some premium seating that required it to be demolished as well. Total seating will drop to around 30k now with grass overflow if needed.

I think App will actually win this game. They do not have a mobile quarterback and should be able to more easily hold rush lanes. Without the mobility of Braxton at Marshall, App wins that game going away.

Five games, three against what I'd call mobile QB's. All three went poorly.

Some will say, "but those teams have improved," and they will be right to an extent. However, that Texas State loss was all but won, and the team folded down the stretch. The ODU loss was bad. The CCU loss last year was bad. One of the three ULL losses was bad.

Those teams have improved, but some of it is because we let them.

In no walk of life "our competition has improved" is an acceptable response of why we aren't performing.

I bet the same can be said about the Alabama teams as well, gotta be brutal to be in SEC country.

Our competition should and has approved.

Problem is, we have not.
