Yeahhh…Don’t love that.

I have purposely stayed away from posting since Thursday’s debacle. I sat there in the stadium until the clock struck 0:00. Still so many questions. I have and will continue to root for Coach Clark. Just like everyone else, what I saw Thursday, is something I’m not sure I’ve seen in my 20+ years of watching App State football. It was a very weird and unnerving feeling leaving KBS after that.

App State football is better than that, we know it, and I’m assuming administration knows it. Hoping these comments were made with the intention of calming things down (it didn’t work).

I will say, I’m glad fans, alumni, former players etc. care enough to be this up in arms over what happened. What we have is special and we can’t afford to lose it. I will be there next Saturday cheering my butt off. Hopefully watching a team that is playing their butts off like they are backed into a corner. Turn this thing around, finish the season strong and then make decisions about the future.

GO APPS!!

I took it as Clark is safe until the buyout drops in December.

If he doesn't turn it around with one, maybe 2 more losses, I'd expect him gone.

Spoken like 2 dudes that needed 5-7 years to graduate from App State.
Whoa hey now! Some of us enjoyed our time at App so much we decided to draw it out as long as we could!
Haha I wish I had done the same! Never graduate!

This video sounds like so many of our fans over the past 3 years. But many cannot be found after this weeks disaster. I think 95% of fans have come to reality...clark has been a massive failure. No matter how you slice it...we are in the worst position weve been in as a program since the early 80s at least

I take offense to this statement. Don’t lump us all together!

If we get blown out again next weekend at home, let’s see what he says then.

Been trying to tell you guys about those two in the video --- Ricks is now covering for Gillin by making it about the 'experience"

It is official, Appalachian Football is a big time program now, we have fans that act like fans of the big time programs.

OTOH, do comments like that signal something else entirely? One wonders.

Also…seeing how visibly uncomfortable Sofield was during Ricks’ statement, it would’ve been priceless to see the reactions of others at the BOT meeting during Mark’s monologue.
Tommy doesn’t agree with him at all from what I have heard by a couple people close to him.

The statement does not , “ represent a consensus or frankly anything close . It is one person’s opinion at this point in time”.

From what he was displaying from a body language perspective, he tried to show a poker face, but I couldn’t tell if it was from disagreement or the cringiness of what was being said.

If someone polled the entire current student population that attends football games and all former students who are alumni what would be the percentage who knows or cares about:

Making the CFP
The level of App State football
The conference we play in
If they know G5 from P4

This is the second comment you’ve made like this.

We have fans that understand what our standard used to be and can see we are currently below that.

Based on what I have heard about how he felt in the past I think it was both. I am pretty sure he thinks wins and losses matter and those words were cringe.

The bad part about this is that the comments weren't even needed. He could have just kept on going with what he was doing. It was just a diatribe to try and soothe the angry mob and cover the butts of those in control of the football program. I wonder if men's soccer was all about the experience as well?

If he didn't have a girlfriend that was a Billionaire he would just be another guy hanging out with T Dogg at the Tapp Room.... he actually kinda looks like T Dogg a little bit.

Note to self: find a Billionaire Girlfriend soon....

Perhaps we should all sit in a circle, hold hands and sing a song together.
