I imagine we will use a lot of the play clock of offense.

Would love to see us vary our tempo about drive four and give them a taste of their own medicine.

Watching their media it’s clear that this weekend is a big one for them. Perhaps the biggest of the season. Gilbert the AD seems to be a straight shooter. Impressed with his interviews.

Right now it appears to be less rain chances but wind could be 10-20 mph.

Wind messed with Garcia last week. Curious how much that factors into his decision making.

Just hope we can get pressure on him and hope he makes the mistakes or we get the sacks. Doesn't appear to be much of a run threat but our DL was non-existent last week (granted that OL should be above ECUs).

That’s where I am on this game. It’s hard to gauge what either has. App played a FCS and Top tier team. ECU played a bad FCS and a bottom on the standings SBC team. Their statistics make no sense for a 2-0 team. All things being equal I’ll take the guy with zero INTs.

I'd say most ECU statistics other than turnovers make perfect sense for a 2-0 team. 30th in the country in total offense, 12th in total defense, 18th in scoring defense, 69th in scoring offense. Problem is DFL in turnovers lost at 10. Something is going to give here, either ECU will turn the ball over less or the rest of the numbers will crash. You can't continue to give up 200 ypg and less than 10 ppg giving the other team 5 extra possessions a game. No defense is that good.

I'd say all of those numbers get worse after this weekend minus the turnovers.

I never expected this game to be so important, but after last weeks no show App needs to build some confidence and fast. App has historically not played well at ECU and they do have a good fan base; hopefully that will not be the issue this time. Let's hope for a big improvement from week 2 to week 3. Go Mountaineers!

You guys are nuts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

why is it a must win?

3 weeks ago everyone would say App will be 1-1 after week 2.
If you lose two out of 3 to start the season you are staring at a 4-5 loss campaign. The pressure will ramp up with every loss to hire a new coach. That wears on everyone. Plus if you can’t beat a subpar ECU team the inevitable is a matter of time. You can’t underestimate the Clemson beat down.

On the flip side, go on a run and keep it to 2-3 losses and win the conference and the job is safe for possibly a new contract. Huge year for coach.
You don't know what we are right now. It's weird how so many of y'all keep acting like ECU sucks. We've got new QB, new WRs, new OC, borderline elite G5 defense. We're almost nothing like the 2 win team from last season. ODU game wouldn't have been a contest w/o the interceptions.
Careful, our DBs can make put your QB in the Heisman conversation as early as Saturday night.

We have some posters that declared Klubnik a garbage QB

I realize that ECU can't help but be improved after 2 wins, but if APP is anything like preseason hype and coming off the national embarrassment at Clemson, then I think the Pirates go down with the ship.

The rankings aren’t what puzzles me because their opponents weren’t good. ODU is woeful on offense so it’s easy to look good against them and Norfolk. That’s the only conclusion that I can draw. If you are -4 in the turnover department, you aren’t going to beat a good team.

It amazes me that you run 89 plays on offense, have 14 possessions and you only score 2 TDs and 2 FGs?

Let’s go, App! let’s go 1-0 this week and get the momentum back. And also because we don’t want Gorilla to reemerge and run amok here with his impulsive, reactionary & questionable takes.
