I’ll stand by what I said, I’m embarrassed by the effort and performance we’ve put forward tonight. I don’t think it encompasses our potential for the season but it’s not what I expect to see from an App State football team.

Of course alot of the old men low T shawn clark lovers have no problem with this....but the issue is...we were (and have been) a ny6/playoff contender in our time in FBS. But that is likely permanently over. You dont recover as a program (with the same players and staff) from 42-0 with 13 mins left in the 1st. I get it...hiring someone new is expensive and not easy. But this will be the moment the nail was put in our coffin as a top tier program.

We were a possible NY6 team in 2019 under Drinkwitz. That’s literally the only year in the FBS era where that was a reality. You’ve created an alternate existence for yourself and have willfully chosen to ignore the good but not great years under Satterfield.

This is a very bad loss, but who are you going to get better than Clark?
