Rewatching Gameday in Boone

Unread post by Captain Morgan » Sun Jul 28, 2024 4:44 pm

This is a horrible weekend of sports and other programming for me. Just nothing on that interests me, soooo

rewatched the Gameday reports of our win in College Station, and the next week Gameday in Boone...what a time!

forgot that the same day we beat A&M, Marshall beat Notre Dame and Ga Southern beat Nebraska!

But we got the love with Gameday and all the segments on Boone and our football legacy. Boy oh boy did our kids represent....one of the most electric atmosphere's Gameday has ever seen and they were eatin it up. Remember Coach playing the mousetraps all over the facility to remind the players not to take the cheese? lol

and we almost did! No better way to wrap up a magical week than with a miracle win, and truly one of the most amazing last second wins in college foodball history. It was good to watch all the other stuff on Gameday as a reminder that our Saturdays are about to get fun again. Think I'm going to watch it again!

My usual routine to start getting hype for the season is watching the Michigan game followed by the championship against Delaware (the quest for 3 DVD set). I’ve added the JMU game from 2007, the UNC/SC game, and I believe this will now be the next one added. Just an absolute magical moment for our university. I just wish I could have experienced it firsthand.

I was at every one of them and they were all amazing!

I typically watch most of the prior season on YouTube before the season starts, but I'm having a hard time find the games this year.

Same. Most of them are just highlight reels. I quit recording because I got spoiled with all the commercial free replays on YouTube and seems that most are just not there this year.

When Reese Davis says, “Welcome to the High Country,” during the intro, I get a full range of emotions.

Watching Michigan game now. Getting my soon to be 3 year old daughter into it. We watched 20 minutes of Yosef videos already this morning.

You might want to add the ESPN show "Under the Lights" episode that shows us getting ready for Michigan and highlights the game itself.

Okay, I envision you saying something like this during the game. "where you going?...you do not go get Barbie when it 3rd and 2"😂

can you give a link? Couldn't find it on youtube. I was so excited watching the webcam that week showing how it was set up, with students hanging out

Not sure if it’s on YouTube or not. I have it with the Quest for 3 DVD set I purchased after that season. It may also be because it was on FSN which isn’t around any more to my knowledge.

I have that episode and the Michigan game on an old DVR that I refused to return to Direct TV when we moved. I would think it's somewhere on the internet. Sorry to be no help...

Watching old Armanti videos. I’m so glad I got to witness him in person.

They never get old. Playoff game against Richmond was one of a kind performance for anyone but Armanti. He continued to do it again and again.

A couple years ago ESPN+ changed their archiving so full games are only up for around a month.
