We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Probably will come up at the next public press conf.
Hope so. It’s gotten over 1M views from multiple big name accounts.
Might need a suspension minimum to save face.

Randon question. Is Santana Hopper suspended for ETSU because of his ejection for punching a dude late in the Cure Bowl?
You might have been onto something. Can you predict the future?

A statement can be short and acknowledge the obvious while offering an answer to a question many people will have. Here's one I wrote off the top of my head.
"We are aware of a video showing an incident between two players at a recent practice. Appalachian State University, the football program and I as head coach in no way condone what's going on. We are instituting disciplinary actions against one of the players involved, consistent with the established rules and values we have in our program."

My guess is that someone sent it to a friend as to say check this out and the friend burned them by posting. Whoever sent it to begin with is likely looking for a new job now.
Sounds like we need to implement a new phone policy, akin to those used in comedy clubs: lock them up and get them back when practice is over.
It looks like someone took it from practice film. What are the chances someone got that play on a phone?
Good point, may have already been handled internally as it's likely a day maybe two old.
It happened yesterday. The incident on the field was dealt with immediately. My understanding is that Langlo is OK. There will be more consequences from Shawn and possibly the school. I don’t see any reason for Shawn to address it publicly. We can all see it. Details of the parties involved and the post practice punishments aren’t necessary for the public.
IMO lost the ability to handle internally when it was leaked. Now it’s damage control.
More a shame if this is a pattern that is emerging needs to be handled swiftly

Seems like a fair approach. I’m not sure that it’s necessary though.

Very much so. I have to imagine this crosses into the Student Code of Conduct which is out of scope for the Athletic Department.

Law/Police could get involved. An unfortunate, but easy decision for Clark IMO. Can't have that anywhere around the program.

There is nothing easy about kicking a kid off the team and stripping him of his future.

Easy to say but what if that was your kid that did the swinging? I’m not saying that he needs to be forgiven with running some stairs, but pulling a scholarship and booting him out of college could be detrimental to his future.

Just FYI, this was 100% coincidental. I was just thinking about potential DL starters for game one and remembered the Cure Bowl incident.

It would be very sad to see my son hit someone else son with a weapon.
I would fight like heck for my son and vouch for a 2nd chance. But I'd also tell my son, "well you did something dumb and have to accept the consequences" (whatever those consequences may be).
Like I said, really unfortunate situation, but the man did this to himself and might have ruined his career.

All reasonable actions. It’s a delicate balance of weighing the present with the future. Actions on the playing field aside, you want to make sure that the kid gets the help they need to be a productive member of society going forward.

And the crazy part is, crazy things like this go on in other college football organizations and you never hear/see it. Sad that a film like this got out. Sad that this stuff even happens, but it does.

100% agree. Maybe we just let Coach Matt make him run the knob until he pukes teal.

I’ll be surprised if the individual isn’t suspended by the school for the year. That was straight up assault on another student. There is a precedent that would allow the individual to remain in school with receiving appropriate counseling as a condition. Either way, it appears that we are a man down for the foreseeable future.

That tune changed quickly.
How so? I don’t think that cutting him loose completely is in his best interest. I also don’t feel like he should be allowed back on the team until certain milestones are achieved and contrition is shown. Do I think that the young man is a bad person? No. Do I think that his actions were bad? Yes. There needs to be punishment with the opportunity for redemption.

FYI, Collins is getting a lot of comments on his social media pages because people think it's him based on the No. 12.
