Montana - Furman
If you're not doing anything tonight there is one football game on at 9:00 pm ESPN2. FCS playoff game between Montana and Furman, could be an interesting match up. Seeing we have a history with the two and nothing else is on, what the hell, might as well check it out.

I pull for Montana VS anybody. I have been to a lot of away games and none come close to the Griz.

As I watched the 3a state championship last night then a few minutes of this game I was reminded of an awful night several years ago. My wife and I went to Raleigh to watch her school play in the state championship game as well. Before the game we went to a local restaurant to watch App v Montana. Ugh

Re: Montana - Furman
Watching this game is akin to watching JMU-Coastal, GASO-Coastal, etc.
No matter who wins or loses, App still wins.
All kidding aside, Montana reminds me a lot of App and JMU given their winning history, fan support, facilities, etc.
It's a little surprising they never moved up to FBS. They'd be a great fit for the Mountain West and (more than likely) immediately competitive in that conference.
But with all the craziness going on right now in college football, will their decision to remain FCS look better in hindsight?
Maybe it will.

Montana my #2 favorite team since we lost to them in 2009. Even in the loss it was the best game of football I have ever seen in my life. And Furman Sucks!

I watched this game, great game. It reminded me of a more pure version of the game, before it become so corrupted by money.
It felt like a game with a spirit to it, as if the players weren’t playing for money.
Maybe it’s just my imagination!

Exactly. And you can love the playoffs and still appreciate where we are today.
Watching this game with the Griz, felt like stepping back in time. Friday Night playoff games with passionate crowds.

Watching Villanova/SD State right now. It’s football, and I’d rather watch football over non-Appalachian basketball.
