Honest question, why is our O line so bad right now? Every run play it seems like our guys have to dodge 3 or 4 Troy defenders before they even get to the line of scrimmage. Are we just too small up front?

Because they are undersized.

Teams have figured us out and know we are too small.

This has always seemed to be the case. Why can’t we attract bigger recruits on the line?

I feel like we do it on purpose and I don’t understand why. Helms lost a bunch of weight when he came to App. Most of our guys that get to the NFL put on 15-20lbs. Why do we want to play undersized? I hear athleticism but clearly it’s not working.

Agreed…I hope we start to see that change in the off season, whether it’s putting on pounds or bringing in players. I know it won’t happen overnight, but I find it hard to believe App can continue being competitive without it.
