We have 6 Fresh or Soph starting on defense?? Look how they have played the past two games. It only gets better from here. Growing pains early, but we are beginning to peak as a team. That will be dangerous for everyone else the rest of the season.

I would “think” the basis for this is that DG is Shawn’s boss and they have regular meetings and the discussion is much different when performance is negative. I would also “think” the same thing happens with Shawn and his staff. It’s kinda how it works.
I would "think" that is how a supervisory role works, but i also "think" the statement implies something beyond the norm. I also don't "think" that, in the absence of specific knowledge, the statement really has any value.
And you are free to “think” the statement has no value…..or does it?
DG doesn't have in season "prayer meetings" about a coaching strategy or a teams play.

Of course #TeamClark and his staff have weekly And daily meetings. This staff is much tighter under Sloan as DC than when Sofield son in law aka Dale Jones was in charge.
You know for sure that DG and Clark havent met to discuss the season so far?
Good question!

I would be very surprised if they do not meet during the season. I believe the reference above was about Xs and Os. Not sure I want an ex-hockey player giving me advice on football play calling. We have enough of those experts calling plays from their sofa 🤣🤣

I know for sure they don't have weekly "prayer meetings". Have they met impromptu maybe -- but DG is more hands off than you think during the season.

Let's put it this way - he never goes in the NEZ offices and he was getting intel through Sofield back when Dale Jones was on staff, hence a lot of secret meetings during the 6-6 season.

There are times I am not sure DG even knows what a 2 point conversion is.

After ODU I think DG had a prayer meeting with Sloan and Clark. These are big boys who know the drill. I was resigned to the fact both had one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel. The foot is outta the grave for this season
One yes. Both ? Not a chance after his recent contract extension.

#TeamClark relishes the underdog role. Give me the +9 all day --

The pressure is on JMU - we need to a big special teams day -- and force 2 TO's to win it.

The cover is a lock tho.

#TeamClark is cringe, but he's definitely coming back and I wish him nothing but success.

I wanted him fired, but never said a personal word about him. I just love App more than I love any particular coach. Maybe Clark is growing into a successful head coach, maybe he just had a lot of recruiting misses in COVID, whatever.

Nothing would make me happier than Shawn being a huge success at App. Great game Coach and players!

Why would you say this after we beat an undefeated #18 team in the country on their field? Currently 7-4 with a shot at 10-4. Such an Eeyore.

I was as anti-Clark as anyone (see post history), but I don't see how we're worse next year. We bring so much back.

The players didn't give up on the staff, even when I did. If we get that 2005-2007 2014-2019 rabbits foot back up our ass, we could be 2019 good.

If we're 7-5, I'll see you in the #FireClark threads.

Did anyone listen to postgame interview on the radio? He’s really feeling himself. Proud of him and the team for how they have turned it around at the end of this year. Let’s take care of GS and keep this momentum going!!!
