Playing for field goals

Unfortunately getting blown up on 3rd down forced the FG. I bet we would have gone for it inside the 2.

JMU coaches read us like a book on that 3rd down call. Shades of Wyoming.

Running right up the middle on 4th down inside the 10 is our calling card and everyone knows it. Of course we get blown up when everyone expects it. Playing for field goals.

Not sure why we are continuing to try to establish the run against this team. Their rush defense is legit and we are just banging our head against the wall on those runs.

It’s fine to run, but put players in a position to make plays.

We are winning the field position battle though which is great to see.

Defense is doing their job so far. The penalty helped us but that was a big play on 3rd and 16.
