Someone look this up. Over the last 3 years how many one score games have we had? Of those what is our record and how many did we win or lose on the last possession? We beat ULM on the FG and Troy on the Hail Mary and lost Tuesday on the FG. Way too many nail biters.

App State was 4-3 in one score games during 2020-2021 App is 3-8 in one score games since. 18 total games for the past 4 years.

However... in the previous 5 years (2015-2019) there were 17 one score games, and one of those seasons had none. App State record: 10-7, with 3 of the 7 losses to P5.

Same number of close games….different outcomes.
P5 games were UT, Penn State and who else?

So out of the 11 games last season and 6 this year 11 have been one score and we are 3-8? That leaves 6 games beyond a 1 score- 3 of them were FCS. Not good

So from 2015-2019 we had close but no cigar to the P5's- 2 OT losses and a blocked FG if I'm not mistaken. Against the rest we went 10-4. Not a bad run

The next 2 years we went 4-3. Still better to be above .500.

And the horrible percentage over the last year and a half. We don't blow out anybody besides FCS, played toe to toe with the P5's (A&M and UNC twice) yet can't seal the deal in most conference games.

I believe SC stated on national TV this past Tuesday that this is how games are played at App.

I’ve come across some information that will explain everything…there were black stripes on the helmets

That would explain a lot. Stripes are not good for Appalachian. That maybe why App lost to Nichols State during the first round of the I-AA playoffs in '86 and lost to a team App beat in the regular season only to lose to them in the semifinals. I so look forward to the day when Marshall plays ULM again.

A lot of bad publicity regarding crowd behavior.

and it should be out there for awareness.... a full can of beer thrown at coastal players. I could care less if Coastal players were acting like A$$HATS. and taunting..did any coastal players go into the stands?..no. Unless that level of behavior, our students/fans should not be throwing items at opposing players...this sense of entitlement is getting old...realize a bunch of drunk students...but not a good look..

On the fan side - we should and can do better. We need to represent App - a top notch university that we all support and show respect for our opponent(as hard as that might be).

We've got some of the highest paid police officers in the state, only time you'll see them is when parents are on campus, high profile photo ops, or showing off the new Tesla fleet. They are legit the chancellors bodyguards, and that's it at this point.
