Tepper going out of his way to piss off Panther fans, is becoming a monthly occurrence.

Re: Steve Wilks named Panthers HC
I was an absolute diehard Washington fan from birth until the Panthers came along (lived in Charlotte for several years). I had no problem changing allegiance mainly due to the ownership tearing down a once proud franchise in DC. I've been a long suffering Panther fan, greatly enjoyed 2015 until the end but the last few years have sucked. I've said many since 2015 that I now know what it's like to be a Lions fan. I'm too old to stick out a constant rebuild and years of suck and missing the playoffs.

I just decided to be a bandwagon Panther fan. If they’re doing good and I can stomach the current players, coaches and ownership I’ll watch from the couch. If not I’ll do something else on Sunday. Pro sports really don’t deserve much fan loyalty.bigdaddyg wrote: ↑Tue Jan 03, 2023 10:37 amI was an absolute diehard Washington fan from birth until the Panthers came along (lived in Charlotte for several years). I actually worked on getting the franchise awarded, playing a very small role. I was at the first game the Panthers ever played in Atlanta and spent Sundays driving to Clemson that year .Interesting and good times.Over the years however I saw pro sports and frankly the fans devolve , at least in my eyes,I could write a book about it , seeing the change from "the Golden Age" which I grew up in.Anyway , I shifted more time , and money to App and haven't looked back.Mjohn1988 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 03, 2023 11:22 amI just decided to be a bandwagon Panther fan. Interesting you mention fans devolving. I’ve said numerous times that the worst experiences I’ve had with other fans have been at NFL games. For whatever reason, the kind of people who pay money to watch professional football live seem to be the rudest, least considerate fans of all. At least in my experience.Stonewall wrote: ↑Tue Jan 03, 2023 2:56 pmI actually worked on getting the franchise awarded, playing a very small role. Re: Steve Wilks named Panthers HC
The most interesting experience at a Monday night NFL game in the Meadowlands that I have ever had was a Jets/Patriots game. I was in NYC for a conference. I am not a fan of either team. So we went with the cheap nose bleed section. The interaction and fighting between the fan bases was hilarious.MrCraig wrote: ↑Tue Jan 03, 2023 3:53 pmInteresting you mention fans devolving. The fan reaction/behavior last night in Cincinnati was commendable. Gave me a new perspective on Cincinnati fans.

Re: Steve Wilks named Panthers HC
I was at the game. I'm sure the shaded seats were cold, but I was pretty toasty in my sunshine seats. Fortunately, I have App football to prepare me for cold weather games. Others in the stands looked miserable, but there's no such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing.

Re: Steve Wilks named Panthers HC
The first NFL game I went to was the Panthers V Niners in Clemson back in year 1. There was a cold snap and it was probably 15 degrees with a wind chill making it brutal. We bought tickets early and still ended up near the top of the visitors side (in the shade). I've never been that high up and probably never colder. The wives left at half time to sit in the car. The three guys that stayed decided to huddle together under a blanket and made it until the end of the 3rd. Brutal first game.
