If you would like to see better pictures, email the Athletic Department and inquire about getting seats. I’m sure that you will find those renderings and layouts more satisfactory.HighlandsApp wrote: ↑Sat Oct 22, 2022 8:59 pmIf this was "fully funded", "green lit", "fully approved by AppState BOT and UNC BOG" and to be "completed by 2025"; then we wouldn't be looking at grainy cell phone photos of a poster of mock up with West Campus looking like 2014.....

I had a guy at the barber shop yesterday afternoon tell me this was a fact going to happen. He said he heard it from his wife's first cousins nephew who said he knew it was a done deal.
I have rooted for GaSo to win more than once in one season. Stranger things can happen. Go figure.

Offer conjecture and spin it as fact…this is the way
I trust that our athletic director and BOG have a better understanding of App’s finances and funding opportunities than message board warriors.

Re: EXPANDING STADIUM TO 40k CAPACITY
Anyone else in the camp that believes we don't necessarily need 40k? How difficult and costly is it to put up the temp bleachers like we did for NC? Seems like a pretty good money maker when needed. Wouldn't the quicker and more cost effective solution be to add seats on the hill? Enclose instead of trying to go higher on the east side.

We may not need 40k but there is demand for club seats and boxes. It is my understanding that this project focuses on that.bigdaddyg wrote: ↑Sun Oct 23, 2022 8:13 amAnyone else in the camp that believes we don't necessarily need 40k? Re: EXPANDING STADIUM TO 40k CAPACITY
This roughly adds 2000 permanent seats. We will not have 40k permanent seats when this is completed. The total capacity, including the hill, would be 40k at that point. Additional temporary seating, such as what was added for the UNC game could still be brought in.bigdaddyg wrote: ↑Sun Oct 23, 2022 8:13 amAnyone else in the camp that believes we don't necessarily need 40k? There are significant waiting lists for premium seating right now. These new premium options will bring 5-10x more revenue per seat than a “regular” seat added to the hill. And if the athletic department is to be believed, the funding is already in place (and I believe them).
I do believe at some point permanent seating will be added to the hill. But we have a huge supply problem for premium seats and are giving away money every year they aren’t built.
Give 'em hell!

That is a great problem to have.. premium demand for the product.BeauFoster wrote: ↑Sun Oct 23, 2022 8:31 amThis roughly adds 2000 permanent seats. Re: EXPANDING STADIUM TO 40k CAPACITY
We should build a big parking deck at the MARK Harrill athletic center (Around or over the facility) to go with premium seating. If I am lucky enough to "Get older" that hill is a tough climb. I would pay to be able to park and take a tunnel over to my seats that is relatively flat and not in the elements for very long....especially as I got to my years where I knew I was not going to run out of money.

I very much appreciate those who took the photos and worked together with others to post them so that we could all get behind the excitement. I was attempting to poke fun at some of the certainty being bantered about.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 22, 2022 9:23 pmIf you would like to see better pictures, email the Athletic Department and inquire about getting seats. All good. I have the official renderings from the school as I inquired about seats. All I can say about the IPF is WOW!HighlandsApp wrote: ↑Sun Oct 23, 2022 12:40 pmI very much appreciate those who took the photos and worked together with others to post them so that we could all get behind the excitement. Re: EXPANDING STADIUM TO 40k CAPACITY
My money is on Lowe's Hardware given their history in Wilkes County if a corporate donor.
Humorous corporate sponsors would be UNC Health or Wake Forest Baptist Hospital just for the optics of those schools playing us in Boone in the future.
Maybe LabCorp but they are out of Burlington so more likely to toss money to UNCG/A&T/Elon, though their brand is clearly national.
Do we still have the person at Blue Cross or has he retired.
We need more Truist Fields and Stadiums in this state. The 5 or 6 we have is NOT enough.

Speculation only ....
If corporate:
M&M's / Mars Stadium
If personal:
Ricks / Mars Family Stadium
How about M&Ms Field?

I don't know...I "heard" a large corporate donor has been secured for the name on the building. I hope it is Lowe's. We need a big name involved.
What is the family name associated with Lowe's Home Improvement??

Re: EXPANDING STADIUM TO 40k CAPACITY
While I could see it being Lowes, based on proximity and the number of App alums that have worked there over the years, they seem to focus more on pro sports (especially NFL). I’d certainly appreciate it if they did decide to do it.spacemonkey wrote: ↑Sun Oct 23, 2022 3:41 pmI don't know...I "heard" a large corporate donor has been secured for the name on the building. I have no idea who it could be. There’s a number of companies in North Carolina who have ties to App, and a number who might just recognize the value of our brand and name recognition who want to be a part of it.

I know it was via a merger, and that they have a great reputation in the Healthcare industry, but it's a pet peeve of mine to see the light blue logo of UNC Health in our stadium. It would be nice if they'd go the Sun Belt Conference route and let us customize the logo to Black and Gold.McLeansvilleAppFan wrote: ↑Sun Oct 23, 2022 2:50 pmMy money is on Lowe's Hardware given their history in Wilkes County if a corporate donor.
