I did it. I turned it off. First time ever. Even after i promised to an hour ago. The Noel flop shut it down. This team is bad without Cam to fuel the PA. I can't even blame Chase, seems like he was doing what he could in desperation.

Full day, 3 separate sessions of running up to Howard Knob. Team needs a week of tough love.

We have got to start taking the FG when we get opportunities to do so. I know we got that TD on one of them but we got a pick 6 on the other. That is a 10 point turnaround if we kick the FG. Totally different game and who knows what happens when they have that type of pressure. I like the gambling when it works but too often our 4th down attempts are coming up short and going for it instead of FG is costing us points.

The worst part of this is that our remaining conference games are all against tougher opponents than Texas State.

Yeah, seems so. Lacks that fire he used to have. And what's the deal with Marshall? He just rarely makes any plays to justify him being in the rotation.

Nah. Texas St is just really good. I mean they put up 36 on us. We just can't be that bad, right?

I'm not 100% sold its coaching that's the major issue ...
Would love to hear your thoughts. Satt would have not lost this game.
-Was told by someone who heard through the grapevine that Drinkwitz made the comment back in 19 that our talent won't be very good in the near future. Not sure if it's true, but the comment stood out to me as curious.

-We hit the portal pretty hard for DBs this past summer. The secondary is our weakest position group I believe.
-had to move a DT to DE to in starting lineup ... We struggle to get pressure on QB with 3 DL unlike he have in the past.
-We've plugged holes in our OL with FCS guys.
-Injuries have been a problem this year too.

IDK man, just a gut feeling it isn't all coaching.
Calling bs on this one. He might have said it because he’s a dousche, but he was here for a cup of coffee, brought in a VERY lackluster class, then left. So I doubt he had his finger on the pulse
Don't know if it was said or not, and it doesn't really matter anyways.

Truth is that there has been a slight drop off since 19. I'm just pointing out that it isn't all on coaching.

This season will be finished and I still won't know what kind of a team we have. Such polarizing performances.

I think a team made up of Yosef's Cabin can score 28 or more on our D.

Our pass defense is pathetic for the expectations of our program. We may not win again, because of that being precisely how to beat us. It's embarrassing how we've not addressed that collapse in the time the staff has had.

I knew this would be a tough year defensively because of what we lost. Only the best of the best (Georgia, Bama, etc) can lose 6 of the top 7 tacklers and put 3 on NFL teams and not have a big let down. My hopes were pinned on our offense. I knew we had to replace a ton of receiver production but was optimistic that the young guns were up to the challenge, add to that a returning QB, roomful of really good returning RBs, return all the TEs and return 4 of 5 on an award winning OLine. We show flashes of what we can be, but we are never consistent on offense. In a year that we need our offense to out score everyone, and we have the horses to do it, we just are not getting in done on that side of the ball. We are 3-3 and just lost to a team that has never beaten us and is a perennial basement dweller in the Sun Belt. Totally unacceptable.

I’m a glass half full guy, so this is the only post I’ll make about this disaster. First of all, coach is not above some of the criticism he is getting. The talk of firing him at this point is silly IMOP.

However, going for it on seemingly every 4th down is stupid and drives me INSANE….ESPECIALLY on our own side of the field. The first attempt tonight changed the game. Take the points, be smart, don’t be stupid. Our Oline isn’t nearly dominate enough to do this…see below.

Our Oline…I have no words. This was supposed to be our strength and it’s honestly a weakness at this point. I agree with the earlier post, I no longer want to hear them referred to as “Bulls.” At this point I have no confidence in us to get a 3rd or 4th and short running the ball.

We need Cam, we need Cam, we need Cam. And we need an Oline to play to their potential in front of him.

In my opinion, our defensive struggles begin and end with our DLine and the lack of pressure.

There is ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE for that many personal fouls. Texas State made a point to try and get in our heads early and they were successful.

Chase Brice and Henry Pearson’s heart and grit can NEVER be questioned. True Mountaineers, and the leaders of this team IMOP. Also Stroman is a beast, feed the beast.

Bye week couldn’t have come at a better time. Figure this crap out and get ready for GSU. They will come to Boone fresh off a win over southern, and smell blood in the water.

I still think we can turn this thing around.
Never. Quit.

GO APPS!!
