Pleasantly surprised we're that close. Pretty hard to justify A&M > App > UNC, but whatever.

Several of the polls where there is not a ton of people contributing that don't pay attention, put us in top 25. If you look fairly, you see we deserve merit.

If NC had handled GA St by 20+ we both may have been ranked. I once again must blame the tar holes.

We are a two point conversion away from being ranked.
We would be top 15 easy if we were 2-0.

Highest vote in AP poll is 13. I think that is too high but I also think we should have gotten way more votes in the 23-25 range. Hopefully we handle Troy by way more than the spread and don't let this be a trap game. It is early and rankings don't matter much yet but I wonder where we would be ranked this week if we beat Troy by 24+ and both A&M and UNC win. We better be huge UNC and A&M fans this year now. Those two teams winning will help us big time as long as we win with some good margins. I would say Marshall is the one game we just need to win though and style points won't matter as long as they keep it up. We do need style points with Troy, JMU, etc but I don't say that lightly. It won't be easy.

"The Sun Belt does not get the credit it deserves — right now, there isn’t a better Group of Five conference, and that includes the AAC, which still has three future Big 12 programs — and the Mountaineers should be ranked."

According to this article we should be ranked. I am just saying the folks that are paying attention realize what the Sun Belt and App should be. However, life ain't fair and maybe this will give our team a little extra chip on their shoulders to come out and deliver a knock out blow to Troy this weekend.

I don’t think its a matter of disrespect. Being objective for a moment, would you really rank a team in the top 25 that gave up 63 points a week ago to a team of questionable strength?

I think the voters are going to wait and see which team we really are. I’m happy we’re 28 right now.

This…the voters don’t know yet which team we are. If we drop a nuke on Troy, we might get in. If we lay an egg, then we didn’t deserve it.
Give 'em hell!

Exactly. The voters also don't what A&M is, thus how big was the win. The polls will take care of themselves if we take care of business.

Didn’t stop them from putting unranked Florida at #12 after beating #7 Utah week one.

I’m totally cool with being “28” right now, that’s probably accurate. But it’s funny how the same logic never seems to apply to certain programs.

That’s a great point! Florida then proceeds to lose at home and is still ranked
