Where to watch the game in Boone
Other than the Rock, anyone have a great suggestion on where to hangout and watch the game? Our family is going up labor day weekend and we weren’t able to secure tickets so we’ll be screaming from another establishment in Boone. Any good suggestions?

From the top of Howards Nawwwb. ROFLMBO You might find parking up there somewhere. Borrow the telescope from the ASU Dark Sky Observatory.

All kidding aside. asu66 is correct, but if you find a bar/restaurant in Boone on game day, it will be standing room only. Might be worth it, though. It will be full of Black and Gold as well as Heel Blue. Good luck.

I would not go to Ale House. They repeatedly market the UNC basketball games but never market any App basketball.

Boone Saloon may be a nice option if bringing kids. Classic Arcade in the basement. Pool table also. I’m sure they will have the projector out for that one so there shouldn’t be a bad seat anywhere.
Ransom will definitely have a good crowd. Good amount of TVs.
Lost Province will have a projector also. Will be very crowded if you do not arrive early.

As much as the Tar Heel students, fans, and alumni love to imbibe, every place who serves booze will be overflowing. Just make YOUR space. Drink sensibly. Go Apps. Go Heels (straight to Hades). just kidding

The owner is a UNC homer. Made it even more amazing to witness the Villanova buzzer beater in that place in 2016. Best night working there by farAppStateNews wrote: ↑Sat Aug 20, 2022 5:04 pmI would not go to Ale House. They repeatedly market the UNC basketball games but never market any App basketball.

Re: Where to watch the game in Boone
If it were me: I'd walk around pre-game, take in the atmosphere and you never know if tickets might be available. (look for fans, not scalpers) Then, I would walk up to the hill beside the softball field (where fans were watching during the COVID games) and catch what you can of the pre-game and kickoff. Then, head out to watch. You might have to ride the AppalCart and miss a few plays, but you'll definitely catch some of the electricity.
