Wouldn't surprise me at all if the speeding ticket was orchestrated to present UNCheat with an opportunity to get rid of Hairston and distract from all the shady dealings around the original arrest and to allow them to say, "See, we really do things the right way."

Wow, from you? This must be about to get real. Seriously he is the kind of guy that can set a program back for years after he is gone. I am sure he has been taking gifts (fancy rental cars) and probably is capable of other stupidity. I agree...Cut the cord Roy!

He probably will but very begrudgingly.

Yeah right. The kid will be back in baby blue before the meat of their conference schedule. A. Hernandez would be walking free if he played for the Tar Holes instead of the Pats.

He may have gotten away with some things while at Florida. But at UNC-CHeat, he may not have had to go to class.

This time, Hairston was cited for speeding and careless and reckless driving Sunday afternoon after the North Carolina Highway Patrol pulled him over on southbound Interstate 85 near Salisbury, 1st Sgt. Jeff Gordon said
I like that the officer's name in Jeff Gordon

Honestly, I think he made the decision easy for Roy from a PR standpoint. I really think that he would've only been suspended for the first game or two and that would've brought some heat to the program, but he forced Roy's hand and helped him out of the dilemma. This is not to imply that Roy didn't want/need him on the team.

He's the only guy on the force who could've caught him.

I have not heard that he is off the team.

You're right, but he's been suspended indefinitely and I can't imagine he plays before Jan, if ever.

Yes and that may be the case not arguing. I just think it is a shame that Roy is taking this stand which is one that I believe is waiting to see if it blows over. There are many schools where he WOULD be gone.

I wholly agree. Based on our short attention spans though, I'm not sure if I blame him. Let's be honest, winning is the most important thing in CH and he's got a fanbase of hundreds of thousands who will troll the internet making justifications and excuses in favor of the decision. But yes, if I'm UNC or Roy, Hairston has gotta go.
