MBB vs Coastal Carolina, 1/13 6:30pm
Winnable Thursday night game at home vs a barely better than .500 Coastal.
The way we lost to Troy is disappointing but splitting a road trip is decent.
ESPN matchup predictor says it’s 54% in favor of App. We’ll need students and locals to show up big time.

It either updated or I just read it wrong. Thanks for the correction.

They do adjust them from time to time. Looks even with a slight nod to us based on homecourt. We need it but Cliff Ellis is a tough out.

We will be there! I hope the student section shows up. They have been great this year.APPdiesel wrote: ↑Mon Jan 10, 2022 9:59 amWinnable Thursday night game at home vs a barely better than .500 Coastal.

The RealTimeRPI GAMER system has us at a 74.8% chance of winning. I dunno 'bout that one. Cliff has seen a few rodeos in his career. The guy picked up his 800th Division I win more than a year ago. That puts him 8th all-time and he's still at it at age 76.
If it happens to the Apps, it happens to me!

Wooh! That Delph 3 was beautiful. I love seeing this team move the ball. Seeing us rebound offensively a lot more this season too. We didn't do that well last year. I'm thinking that was a scheme by necessity. Maybe we just didn't have the bodies to rebound offensively or the speed to get back on D if we're keeping a few guys down low on the boards.

Up 7 at half time. Really good first half. Spread the ball around. Played aggressive defense. Decent ball movement. Eads should have gotten a better look. Kinda bungled the last play.

Winning the rebounding margin, shooting 43% from deep, and an impressive student turnout. Those 3 things happening consistently will lead to many home wins

Good first half. When the threes are falling were competitive. Hope we can keep it up, if not ….. we really have no bodies moving on offense.

Where are the other athletes at these games? It’d be huge to have a big turnout from the football and baseball teams.

Are you saying for sure they aren’t there? I haven’t been to a home game this season but other teams have always supported in the past.

I can’t say that for sure but I peruse App State Twitter more than I probably should and I’ve never seen anyone mention other sports teams organizing to be a force at basketball games. I’ve seen where football players showed up because they were being recognized during the game but never as support for the basketball team.
