KBS seating
Just wondering what side of the stadium you all prefer. Had season tixs for the first time and sat in section 207. We are looking to upgrade seat maybe closer to the 50 and prefer being higher up. Eastside seems to get you closer to the middle (in our donation price point) never saw a game over there though. Just wonder everyones thoughts.

Re: KBS seating
Back in the late 70s - early 80s when the first of many stadium upgrades was under way, just about everyone had their seat assignments moved to the east stands. That was probably well before your time and certainly well before Chancellor Peacock's hurry-up program to provide classier seats for students and a growing App Nation than cold, wet seats on the bank (although many preferred the bank and some still do).
The sun makes for summer-like heat and glare in Aug., Sept. and during some years on into early Oct. From Mid-0ct. to Dec., the warmth of the sun becomes your friend but the direct sunlight and glareare tough until sundown. So dress for the summer heat; always have light or heavy raingear handy depending on the season; dress in layers for the cold months; and above all, protect your eyes from the sun. That's a big deal.

If it happens to the Apps, it happens to me!

Moved to the East Side in 2008 and no regrets. We sit at the top of the lower level in sec.111 on the 50. One of the best spots in KBS. The concession and bathroom situation is not good but I can’t imagine it’s much better on the west side. The sun can be brutal in September but great in the back half of the season.Appmountaineers19 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 12, 2022 11:38 amJust wondering what side of the stadium you all prefer. Re: KBS seating
Yeah I've had season tickets for a couple years now. The first year was on the west and this last year was on the east. I prefer the east side because it's just more rowdy in my opinion. Where I was on the west side I felt like I was sitting in church.

Re: KBS seating
moved to East side for first time this year and it was glorious. I have last row on bottom level. Sightlines good, I can get in and out of the bathroom during TV timeouts and miss no action, and the beer line is non existent. I can stand all game an no one to worry about and I am covered by second deck. Regular concessions is awful however.

Yeah I like the idea of the last row in sections 109 or 113 but I'm sure they are already taken.

I would call the ticket office and ask. They might be able to accommodate you.Appmountaineers19 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 13, 2022 8:10 amYeah I like the idea of the last row in sections 109 or 113 but I'm sure they are already taken.

Re: KBS seating
Yup! I called yesterday and they said they are sending renewal stuff in the next couple of weeks. At that time I can call and check. I did ask how much they are going to raise ticket prices...(not that I care) she said she does not have that info and that parking is all done through Yosef club.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 13, 2022 8:42 amI would call the ticket office and ask. Re: KBS seating
If you can afford it buy a seat beside you and you can spread out....it is nice to have space. Buy 3 tickets even if you only need 2. Helps App and space is nice.

Re: KBS seating
Love the East side. We're in 213 row B; one seat on the 50, the one beside it on the 49. Feel much close to the action; also feels more birds eye (more up than out...west side spreads outwards more). Yes the sun is rough early in the season. A hat alleviates the glare issues for me; it is hot though. I'm tolerant of weather so doesn't bother me. Concessions and bathrooms also much better. Entry is much better; lines a lot shorter. I sold my entire season tickets for the season last year because my friend and I got NEZ seats...he likes the amenities and it was the only way I could get him to get season tickets with me lol. I'm never giving the East side seats up because the location is perfect and if I didn't renew them I doubt they'd ever come open again. Will probably move back to sitting in them after the NEZ contract is over.

Re: KBS seating
Do you think they will put temporary seating in the NEZ for UNC? I know they have the patio area but I truly feel they could fill the seats easily. Me personally I don't think they would do it. (maybe even the band down there)

Re: KBS seating
My understanding is that we are looking to add as many seats as the Fire Marshall will allow. But there is no plan to put any on that side.Appmountaineers19 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 10:15 amDo you think they will put temporary seating in the NEZ for UNC? Re: KBS seating
112 row T east side. Been there a long time. 1st move to east side was 213 second row from front. Could see great! But as crowd thins out and cold winds blow Wifey can get frosty up there. So down we went. I like my KBS home. Walk in and a few steps down and boom! Can see fine.
As mentioned sun can be friend or foe over here. Lines are horrendous. We don’t go for concessions. Elon game was HOT!! Wife went out to get water. None! She came back with a Vizzy and I’ve never liked seltzer. That was some GOOD STUFF! I actually buy it at home now
